Showed up in the scheduled time, was pleasant and professional. Spent the time with me to go through the symptoms. I had thought it was the pump, based on my research, but in his experience it was all attributable to the input valve. He replaced the valve efficiently, did a quick but thorough testing, including for the check valve and heating (which was working fine), and gave me some tips on care and what to expect. The dishwasher seems to be working well now, though we'll know for sure after a few uses. I was a little surprised by having both a service call charge and a labor charge, however I didn't ask in advance, and the overall price was acceptable. I would use them again.

OK..confirmed it pretty much couldn't be repaired (purchased in 2014). Bought a new DW (Bosch)which has worked well. Disappointed that local appliance store (where appliance purchased) did not respond to calls re problem. So I paid for the service call and new dishwasher. Oh well...life goes on..

He quickly summed up the situation and provided enough information allowing me to make an educated decision on how to move forward.

Well. The repair was made on time and was effective.

Called earlier the week and spoke with owner Tony who was very courteous and promptly scheduled the next availability later on the week. He asked what model was my Dacor and ordered 2 ignitions so when Dave the service technician arrived, he promptly replaced the ignition switches and now my Dacor Cooktop is back up and running. Although interaction was brief, both owner Tony and service technician Dave was a delight to work with. I would not hesitate to call Otto's Appliance in the future.

I have used them before and they have always been very responsive. This time unfortunately they told me they could not get the part they needed for almost a month.

My gas cook top is not working. With a great Angie's List review score, I called Otto's Appliance Service. A lot of reviews on Yelp said that they offer same day service but not this time. I told the gentleman that my gas cook top doesn't work because probably spark module doesn't work. I tried it with external lighter and it works. Two days later they sent David over. I expected David to do the fix and took a day off. What he actually did is to take a look at the cook top and tried with his lighter and told me that he guess spark module doesn't work. I said yes that's my guess as well. And he left me a estimation of $366 dollar to replace it and charged me $105 dollar for this 5 minutes work.
This experience reminds me the sales skill that charges you significantly up front to lock you in. In economic term this is called sale-with-sunk-cost. The itemized estimation is crazy. The part costs $125 and labor costs $241. The service guy himself commented with a shrug that I should go get a new one. What Otto's Appliance Service ends with is either $105 for 5 minutes work or $366 for simply replacing a spark module. They are in such an advanced situation than their customers that they'll make money either way.
Customers are basically trapped from the minute they called them. I tried to contact back and it's not helping. With the new generation of online service provider, I couldn't believe such business model is still running at ground level. No wonder people are investing in new business model to renovate the industry. 
I'm not happy and hope anyone reading this could get an idea of how their business run and think if you will like that yourself.

They were honest, have competitive pricing, came on time, and finished on time. He did it in the amount of money I was quoted for. It was all positive.

They came early. They were nice, neat and it was a minor repair.

They are very responsive. They keep at the problem until they figure it out because we've had a difficult problem. They are very easy to work with and they are very professional.

Over the weekend our Thermador oven got stuck in a locked state w/ the cooling fan continuously running. On Monday morning I called to beg for an appointment to get the range working again (and to end the very loud fan). When I called at 9am they asked if I wanted someone either the same day at noon or tomorrow. I quickly took the appointment and at exactly noon, Otto showed up. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the oven was a blow main circuit board. Luckily he had a replacement board in his truck. Once he replaced the board, he did a full check of the every system/element to ensure everything was hooked back up properly. When he left he assured me the parts had a one year warranty and that any issues were also covered with a labor warranty for 30 days. Otto was extremely competent and very professional. I would highly recommend his shop to anyone with Thermador appliance issues.

We've used them in the past. They are very responsive and very professional. They are very knowledgeable about what they do. We had a really hard problem to diagnose and they kept coming back and working on it to try to nail it down. They don't give up when there is a hard problem to solve. We would definitely use them again.
