International Heating & A/C

James, or Jim as he likes to be called, is an expert HVAC guy who's been around and knows his stuff! After calling a TON of guys from AL, we were growing tired of bids for over priced systems and every single one of them came up with something different we "required"!! We felt like we were getting the run around. How could 7 guys tell us NO, that doesn't need to be done; but THIS does...?? Anyhoo- We found Jim on Craigslist of all places!! Seeing that he has been doing this for 40 years, we figured this was a guy wanting to make some extra money here and there. We decided to call him. Right away, he gave us an idea of costs (it's right there in his CL ad!) and said he could come right over. He looked over our system and told us he could do the whole thing for $4700. FORTY-SEVEN HUNDRED. We were all, ummmm...what's the catch?? None. He said he could do it all tomorrow. Now we were a bit hesitant due to the fact that he was off Craigs and all, but we didn't get to where we are by being wusses and taking the safe road, so we said go for it. The next morning, my husband met with him. Jim went to go pick up the A/C and furnace systems at a warehouse (trade only). They took our payment info over the phone. Jim came back to our house and got right to work. He removed the concrete pad the old unit was sitting on and did a whole new one away from the house in the proper location. He ran lines, electrical, drains, etc... He inspected all vents and returns and offered to enlarge the returns and such OR show us how to easily do it OURSELVES to save money!! WHO does that?? He worked HARD! Took him all day and well into the evening. All along the way, whenever my husband would go back there and check how it was going, he was friendly and educated him about SOOOO much! My husband felt like he was giving away "trade secrets"! He was just so dern nice and very easy to talk to! What started out as a gamble turned out to be the best tradesmen we have ever encountered for the most rock bottom price EVER. I mean, this guy was the same price that my husband's dad would have been (a retired HVAC guy in Georgia) if we had flown him in and had him do it!! I wanted to create a listing for Jim here on Angie's to see if I could get him more business. He doesn't have a website-just uses Craigslist. CALL him and he'll either pick up or get RIGHT back to you! You won't regret it!!
