SPCA OF MERCED

i adopted a six month old kitten from them. to my surprise he came with a double ear infection and parasites and anal leakage. its cost hundreds of dollars to nurse him back to health and hes still not out of the woods yet. the cages they kept them in were the size of a small walk in closet with screen doors. up to ten cats in the cage. if mine has/had parasites then the rest of the kittens in the cage have them too. when i reported this to them they seemed apathetic about the whole thing. ive had to keep him locked in a bathroom so he doesn't get the other cat and dog sick too. i'm the only person hes seen in three whole weeks. now it looks like h*** be in there longer. i am all for animal adoption but not sick animals. and no i didn't take him back, hes my new baby, ill get him healthy but had i went elsewhere i probably wouldn't have had this problem. i thought they would have taken better care of their animals but i was wrong. buyer/adopter beware!!!
