Tree Service
3 Brett's Tree Service employees arrived at approximately 9:00 a.m. to begin. Brett also came to get the job started and after a few minutes talking to my husband, Brett left.
Because of the size of the truck/with zoom boom on top, the trees in front were done first. The truck could not go into the back acre. The 2 employees worked non-stop to cut, chip, and clean up. The 3rd employee trimmed the lower branches on the pines in the backyard. He then went to fine tune the Bay Tree with a long ladder and tools. The 3rd employee had something in his eye and left to go to the Dr. around 11:00a.m. The two employees then went into the back yard with ladders, saws, and chainsaws. My husband and I hauled branches to the chipper non stop as Brett said whatever we could get to the chipper would be chipped. The young man and woman, Corey and Carrie (unsure of name spelling) continued to work without stopping the entire time on our property. They were professional, excellent workers, and a pleasure to have doing the job. Approximately 2:30 I saw my husband on the phone. It was Brett. He was upset that the employees were not finished and argued with my husband. My husband told him that Corey and Carrie had been working non stop and that there was more to finish and clean up and asked Brett to come and talk about it. Brett came and when he saw Corey and Carrie began to shout at them and he was so agitated that I had to go into the house to avoid saying something that would not be nice! My husband told Brett that no one stopped all day except the young man that left for the Dr. and did not come back. Brett was still upset but tried to placate my husband and I by asking how we liked the job. The bushes on the side were leveled at this point and chipped. Brett had originally said $500-$550 but now said $700. We realize this cost is not outrageous but he could have said this in the beginning and it would not have been an issue if we had the money and wanted the job done. Upping the price at the end of the job is not the best way to win repeat customers. We still had some huge branches left to chip and Brett left. Corey helped us get the huge ones cut and hauled to the chipper and Carrie chipped and before they left they cleaned up the driveway with a blower.
Overall the job was ok. We would have Carrie and Corey back anytime. It was unfortunate that Brett had lined up another job to be done the same day. He had ample time to see the scope of our trees and to plan appropriately. Corey and Carrie saved the day with such good hard work and just 2 of them to get it all done. We think they are basically a good service. As far as professionalism, the employees get an and quot;Aand quot;.
