Provider was timely for the service, prompt for both estimate and work.  Also, the provider cleaned off soap scum and calcification for free (not part of the negotiated package).  The bathroom was left clean for all work debris.   Provider was so polite as to even close the bathroom door (making it hotter) when the phone rang just to give me some privacy.  Professionalism gets a B (still good in terms of conduct) because this was just two guys and some ordinary tools, not a high-end professional service.  The job was well done though, so no complaints.

- Communication was a bit spotty. I often had to take the initiative to call Tam to follow-up on information and scheduling but we did get everything worked out.

- Cost was normally $650 but Tam asked for a $50 surcharge due to our location out in the East Bay.

- Work started at 9am and was finished at 5pm.

- Work started with Tam's brother (Austin) and one assistant removing the grout with hand tools. At about midday, Austin left for another installation. Another staff member came by at about 2pm and Austin returned at about 3pm. So there were three people finishing up at the end of the day although Austin seemed to be doing most of the work.

- Austin used the extra materials to clean-up the caulk for our toilet and sink (gratis).

- Results look acceptable but I noticed some variation in the color of the grout. It's unclear to me what the cause of this is. I also found some grout material adhering to the tiles which I had to remove on my own.

- Austin accepted my check and told me that his brother would mail me the invoice and receipt. I received nothing as of November 10th and sent an email inquiry. The invoice (marked and quot;Paidand quot;) was emailed to me on November 12th.

First, Tam came out from the company to scope the work needed and provide quote. He was knowledgeable and personable. We scheduled an appointment for about a week later. Jose and Vu (hope i have his name right) arrived on appointed day. I showed them the areas. They each took one bathroom and worked for about four hours before taking a break. They were quiet and respectful. They both took about a 20 minute lunch break and then continued for about two more hours before finishing. I checked the work and found everything cleaner than ever before (it is a rental property) and all work performed as promised. The grouting and caulking was professionally finished and a clear coat protector was applied. It was kinda expensive, but did this for my wife who by the way is pretty frugal. The end work was so good that even she did not complain about the expense. I was goona do the work myself, but the caulking and grout was in bad shape so didn't think i could make it look really good without experience. I made the right decision!. I called the company and the phone answered immediately. The owner gave me some general idea on what he would do. he sent someone to come and check on the job. They asked that we leave the area open to dry for 2 days. They came after 2 days and finished the job in half a day. They did a fantastic job and I would use them again

the grout expert had done work for us years before and it was time for re-sealing our floors and showers, they gave a reasonable price for cleaning all before resealing and also replacing several areas of caulk in the kitchen and bathroom.

My wife and I made the decision to have our kitchen counter tops re-grouted and after reviewing the various companies in our area, we choose The Grout Expert. Within a few days of setting up an appointment for a price quote, Tam, from The Grout Expert, inspected our kitchen and bathroom. Tam was very thorough, informative and honest regarding the various updates my wife and I were considering having done. With some of the updates we were considering, Tam said they were not necessary and to save our money! I respected and appreciated that type of feedback.
Tam’s team did a great job re-grouting and re-sealing our kitchen counter tops. My wife and I are very happy with the results. We did have our kitchen sink re-finished, but that was done by another company. The kitchen sink looks great as well. In the bathroom, the caulking around the shower doors, the bath tub and bathroom sink needed to be replaced. The bathroom floor grout also needed to be cleaned. Tam’s team was very meticulous in removing the old caulking. They did a great job. Finally, Tam’s team also removed and replaced our old toilet with a high efficiency one, along with installing a new kitchen sink faucet we purchased locally.
Overall, my wife and I are very happy with the end results and glad we chose The Grout Expert. We know who to call for future projects!

They are excellent. I found them for grout and now he will be remodeling my entire house. Along with grout, he can seal countertops and he is a licensed contractor. He is really good and my local real-estate person uses him. He is very smart. My friend also used him to reseal the countertop, re-paited the kitchen cabinet and re-grouted the kitchen.

We were satisfied with the job. We will use them again if needed in the future.

I have used them before. I got their flyer in the mail. That is how, I used them. The work cost me about $900. I have used them for my other apartments, too. I am very satisfied with them. I will use them again in the future.
