I go there for their annual routine, its simple service. They are not a 24/7 hospital. They were fully booked. What I liked about their service is that there is no long waiting, but of course I had an appointment. They saw me right away. They have multiple doctors. They only have 3, so you kind of see the same doctor every time. That is a plus. The doctor gets to know the animal. The interior is pretty old, so there’s a sense of feeling that they might need to update. Remodel a little. This is a very small hospital. They have two areas, but people seem to not worry about dogs and cats being in the same area; and it’s not really a problem. Peninsula just uses a lot of common sense and probably keeps their cost down too. It wasn’t their fault that they were fully booked. Usually, I don’t have to wait very long.

We have had a good experience with the vets at Peninsula Pet. We switched when our former vet became part of the VCA chain and felt like they were more interested in how much $$ they could get from us. Peninsula Pet is owned by a couple and we feel like our animals get excellent care. They were very kind when we lost two of our pets. For instance, when our 13 year old dog was diagnosed with a tumor on the spleen, they offered treatment options, were honest that the treatment wouldn't really increase his quality of life. They may be somewhat reluctant to offer euthanasia, but when we decided to go that route, they were very understanding and allowed us to do it at a time when all of our family could be there. Now that we have younger animals, they have been prompt in helping us out with and quot;puppy mishaps, and quot; like the time our dog at a whole box of chocolate cookies. We highly recommend this practice!

We've been using Dr. Cortesi for 16 years. He's saved our dog's life at least twice. He's good at what he does and he takes all of the time he needs. He's also very caring with the animals. I like his work.

I felt that Sam was very well cared for, and his teeth looked great. I am relieved that the infected teeth were removed and that he is doing so well now. They took very good care of him. The staff is very warm and loving toward animals. He came home with an antibiotic to take for a few days. I am very pleased with this group!
