Amazing work! Our flat roof was expertly cared for by the great folks at Dura-foam. Lalo and team were so professional and committed to excellence every step of the process. Incredibly conscientious about not causing us any imposition and clean up was immaculate. Totally recommend this company very highly.

Great. It took 6- months to implement from start to finish, longer than expected, mostly due to PG&E and a bit to do with subcontractors. So don't expect you can do this overnight especially when you're also replacing your entire roof and you have an older mid-century modern home without a 200AMP service panel ready to go. Jarom and his brother and team at Durafoam were FANTASTIC to work with. Importantly, they know sub contractors for various pieces (wood repair, downspouts, electrician, chimney repair, etc) who are motivated because of the referral source; this is an issue today with a building boom going on. A key factor here is if you need a foam roof as we did (for insulation and due to low roof grade), Durafoam does the foam roof AND the solar project. This avoids any finger pointing and coordination challenges between the roofing team and the solar team. This is of value because the solar panel mounts must be attached to your house roof beams in the middle of the roof replacement process and BEFORE the roof foam is applied. I dreaded the logistical management of that between two contractors. Using Durafoam avoids that problem completely while resulting in no holes drilled in the foam for mounts after it's poured, which I suspect is likely to extend roof life and minimize chance for leaks. Plus drilling through the foam to find the roof beams is an inexact science and you could end up with holes inside your house. Consequently, it's best to do the mounts before the foam is applied. Another tip: it really helps if you have a person who is available in the home during the day to answer questions, meet with contractors, subs, and the different people from the different entities involved in your project. Think of it as a process.

So far so good. I did extensive research on foam roof company and I believe at least in Sunnyvale, Mountain View and Palo Alto area DuraFoam has the largest market share. Also as far as I know, they also stay in the business the longest. A couple of others went under and resurrected themselves under different names or different license# . I have much confidence in their warranty.

Took a while to get started with the project due to inclement weather, no fault of company. Took three days for cleaning up old roof and installing new roof. There was overspray of sealant and foam on outdoor furniture, landscaping and windows. Installation of the gravel stops was shoddy work. All areas where the metal over lapped had gaps that were not addressed with tacks. Company did come out to fix the gravel stops, but managed to fix only those in the front of the house. Had a tricky area on the roof that needed extra care, did not get it and they had to come back and fix. Nobody came around and inspected the job once it was done. Company must just rely on complaints from customers. If the job had been inspected by the company, we would not have been put in a position of complaining. Communication was a real problem. Company was unresponsive to emails and phone complaints. A little reassurance and acknowledgement of the problems would have gone a long way. Persons showed up with no advance notice, even though they were asked repeatedly to call first so that we could corral our old dog. Towards the end of the project they did start calling. Someone did show up with razor blades to clean the skylights and had to return to clean the windows due to not having any more razor blades. Company should have been aware of unresolved problems due to emails and phone calls from us, but scheduled a building inspector to sign off on the building permit without fixing the problems or having the spark arrestors installed. Will not know if there are drainage problems until the rainy season begins. Total time from start to finish has been about 4 weeks. Three days to do the original work and three weeks to fix the problems. Seems like there was no attention to detail or awareness that the little things count. Having said all that, we are happy with the roof, just not the professionalism of the company. On hot days the heat in our home would build up to stiffling temperatures, roof has made a 20 degree difference which we are very happy with.

Dura Foam Solar did what they said they would do, did it for exactly the price they quoted for the job, and did the work superbly. I do not have any complaints. I think it helps that they are a family-run business. They were always easy to contact. Again, I give them my highest recommendation.

In all, the experience was very positive. Everyone we dealt with was professional and responsive. Our home needed quite a bit of fascia board replaced due to rotting and they did a very nice job with that. In addition, all our skylights were replaced. I feel (and felt then) that the price was on the high side for the work done, especially compared to some of the other reports for them here. On the other hand, our roof was pretty bad, and I think this was a case of you get what you pay for. In all, we are happy we reroofed with foam; our house is much more comfortable inside.

They were very good. They did a really good job, but it was expensive. They were on time. They were very clean and cleaned up everything really nicely afterwards. They finished the work on time. All our neighbors on our street, which was about 4 or 5 houses, got the work done through them. They specialize in Eichler homes. They had a little glitch but they came and fixed it afterwards very promptly. I would use their services in the future, but hopefully I won't need to.

The estimator and front office are great. Very professional and always available. The guys who come out and do the work are not as professional. I wanted to see the work as it was done. The installers left before the time they were told to wait for me and also left my large fence door open to the backyard. Then, during the final paint application they painted areas that were visible from the street. Think very bright white patches on your house. The front office came to the rescue again. They painted the visible areas to match my house color. And left me a little can of paint also! Even with the annoyances I am very happy with this roof. If you have a flat roof then don't hesitate to get this. The difference in the internal house temperature is almost shocking. You'll use much less energy heating or cooling your home.

No problems at all with the work performed. They were timely and punctual. The only problem was a mix-up in the city permit application. Apparently, they use a third party to obtain the city building permit. The third party obtained a permit to tear off then replace the existing tar and gravel roof. Stripping the old tar and gravel roof was not in our contract. There was a week or two delay for the city to sign off on the work permit as they (the city) were expecting to inspect the roof with the tar and gravel removed. The city inspected the roof with the gravel only removed. Durafoam then coated the old roof the next day. Durafoam did take care of the problem with no intervention from us at all. (We did withhold final payment until the building permit issue was resolved.) At least one person of their office staff was a little vague and uninformed but, over all, things went very well and we are pleased with their work. Other than a few bits of old gravel left on our front steps, maybe three or four small pebbles, the job site was left clean as it was before they started. We have had the new roof a few months now. Our house is definitely cooler on hot days. The white surface and insulating properties of the urethane foam does make quite a difference. There are not really many hot days here in South San Francisco. When it was around 87 degrees outside, the inside of the house was around 73 degrees with no air conditioning. It almost felt cold inside. Overall, we are very pleased with our new roof. It has just started raining. There were no leaks before the new application and there are none that I am aware of now.

I was very pleased with their service. They had a little trouble because there was ferocious wind so they had to come back and do some clean up work. They were very good and very informative. They answered questions well and they had to coordinate with a contractor that was doing repair on the roof for termite damage. They got it done in about three weeks total and coordinated with that contractor well. They only came for three days inside of those three weeks however so the work was very fast. It is much warmer in the winter now and cooler in the summer and it is quiet.

We were pleased. The price was less than a tar and gravel roof and the roof lasts longer as well. We had a lot of low spots on the roof and this system was able to be built up to fix the problem. Therefore, it will drain better.

I've spent a lot of money on my roof. At first they did the roof and then the weather got bad so they had to wait to do the top, which they did two weeks ago. The reason they did not do the top coat right away is because they had to wait for the temperature to get warm enough. After they applied the top coat, it rained the next day, but it did not seem to hurt it at all. I have heard some horror stories about that. I actually looked up there and the rain did not affect the top coat. One thing that irritated me a little was one guy told me that if I gave him an extra $100 he would make the coat a little thicker. I really do not think that he did. Other than that, the other guys were great. They taped off and put plastic over the cars. The foam stuff is sticky so if the wind would pick it up, it could cause some damage. Some companies do not take that extra step, but they did. I know a guy that does foam roofs and he said that it looks like they did a good job.

This was a very pleasurable experience. I was not familiar with this type of roof but they took the time to explain the advantages to us and I am grateful to them for that. They only took a couple days to complete the project. The roof looks great and has held up very good. They were very quiet at doing their job.

I am very satisfied with this company. I have had no complaints with the work at all. They have fair pricing and they are respectable people, who take time to show you the options. It did not take long with the work and they were great about cleaning up after themselves. They did not have a bunch of junk blowing around in my yard. They have polite workers. The job they did was fantastic.

SPRAY ON POLYURETHANE ROOFING IS GREAT. MY OLD ROOF WAS PUT ON IN 1986 AND HAS NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM. I WENT WITH THE SAME COMPANY AND TYPE OF ROOF ON A SECOND FLOOR ADDITION. DURING INSTALLATION, THERE WAS SOME OVERSPRAY ONTO A FENCE THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. IT WAS CAUSED BECAUSE IT WAS A LITTLE BIT TOO WINDY THE DAY THE ROOF WAS SPRAYED ON. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE HAD A VERY SMALL LEAK IN THE NEW ROOF. EVERY SINGLE TIME I HAVE CALLED, DURA SPRAY COMES OUT AND TRIES TRY TO REAPIR THE LEAK. IT HAS BEEN VERY HARD TO FIND. THEY HAVE BEEN COMING OUT TO REAPIR THIS LEAK NOW FOR THREE YEARS. THEY TRIED SOMETHING DIFFERNT THE LAST TRIP AND WE'LL SEE IF IT STILL LEAKS COME THE NEXT RAIN STORM. IT DOESN'T LEAK WHEN SPRAYED WITH A HOSE! I GOT THREE QUOUTES ON SPRAY ROOFING AND THEY WERE BY THE LEAST EXPENSIVE.
