I hired based on Angie's List reviews that indicated that the company was reliable and professional. Unfortunately, after a promising start, I had a negative experience. I contracted to have a custom shed built in my backyard. I have a Tudor style home, and I wanted a shed with trim and paint to match. The design process seemed to go well. I sent a picture and they said they could match the exterior of my home. They sent an invoice and agreement with some of the details, and I sent a corrected agreement back with very detailed information about trim and paint colors. I contracted for the shed to be painted and was told the project would be completed in a day. The shed builders showed up on time, and had information on the dimensions and fabrication that I wanted. However, they did not have a copy of the detailed invoice I sent back and were clueless about the design I wanted to match the trim and to paint the house. Also, the painter was not with them. The workers could not tell me when he would arrive. Even more disturbing, when I called the front office, I was informed for the first time that the painting would not be completed that day as promised. No one could tell me when, or even if, the painter had been scheduled. After complaining, I was told that a painter would come out the next day to complete the project. I waited around all day and no one bothered to show up. I called and emailed and no one responded.
The shed appears to be of decent quality, but the trim was not customized to match my house. They added a horizontal trim detail without asking me. It wasnt shown to me until the project was complete. So, I paid a premium to get a shed that matches and I dont have one. They left wood scraps and cut branches in my yard, and even though there were several dumpsters nearby, they didnt clean up after themselves properly. And, despite contracting for paint, the shed isnt painted. I have to hire a painter separately and have them take the paint off of the bill. I did not get what I paid for and wasted a day of my time waiting for a no show painter.

This is an update on my negative review. To their credit, Quality Sheds contacted me about the painter mix up and offered a discount off the bill over and above the cost of painting. I appreciate the accommodation. While I wasnt pleased with the experience overall, I have to be fair and report that they did apologize and credit me for the inconvenience. My advice would be to make sure all final design details are confirmed up front, with both the front office and with the workers when they show up. Painting is contracted through a separate company, so if you order paint, nail down the schedule in advance. On the upside, the shed is well built and they do offer more variety than others I've seen. The company reps were polite on the phone and handled the snafu appropriately after the fact.

Very well! They came within a few days. The finished it in 1 day. They put it exactly where we wanted it to be. They even gave a suggestion to keep it a little bit further away from the side of our house - we listened, and are very happy with the shed. We need to paint it - however this is fine, because we want our painter to do it the exact color we want.



A wonderful custom built shed - built piece by piece on our property. We are very pleased. It is nice that when it rains the rain doesn't run from the roof down the walls - much better than if bought from Costco, Home Depot or Lowes.

We sent in dimensions and shelfing instructions via email and fax and phone. We did changed our minds about some of the shelfing sizes during the process but Jack was very accommodating with our changes and requests. Two workers were sent out on the date agreed upon (usually a week backlog according to Jack) and they built our shed to our specifications for size, shelfing, vents, window and door the same day. We requested painting but had to wait for a few days for the paint team to arrive and paint the shed. We were more than happy with the shed. The crew did clean up after themselves but due to the fact that lumber was sawed on the site, we still had a lot of sawdust in the side yard and the front yard remaining. We will definitely use Quality Sheds again.

We researched many shed companies before choosing Quality Sheds. We chose it because it was the only company that would customize our shed to the degree that we needed. For example, we needed an unusually low overall height to conform to city regulations. After choosing the style and options from their website, we faxed them a sketch of what we wanted. They made some excellent suggestions for improvements to our design and gave us an immediate estimate. We were able to schedule the work about two weeks out. A single worker arrived on time on the appointed day and constructed the shed on site in about five hours. The shed is exactly what we wanted. It is very sturdy, tight and solid. It was constructed with pre-painted siding, but we do have to paint the trim, which we didn't expect. It wasn't a problem, however, since we wanted the trim to match the house trim and we happened to have some of the right paint. We enjoyed working with everyone at the company, the owner, the office staff and the workman. They were all friendly and professional. We found the price to be right in line with estimates we had gotten from other companies, but the other companies were not willing to build the exact dimensions that we needed. We would definitely recommend this company.
