Professional work, but extremely poor customer service

Fair estimate, answered questions fully, arrived on time, completed same day, educated me on usage and maintenance.

If you are looking for a company to install your new generator look no further. From the first call with Ken Doyle, I could tell I was in good hands. Many companies are having issues getting equipment etc. due to the pandemic, but Ken came through. He is very personable, professional, trustful and has a good work ethic. The total cost was very reasonable. I had spoken with other companies and he is very competitive. He and his crew of 6 arrived on the day scheduled and by the end of the day it was completely done! I was shocked they got it all done within a day....which included trenching for the natural gas line. They handled ALL the installation including electrical, trenching, gas line etc. Over the past 32 years at our home we have gone through many power outages and it gets old. SDG and E, many wildfires are mostly to blame. So, now have peace of mind that my ENTIRE house (inc. A/C) will STILL have power automatically (due to the 24 kW GENERAC GENERATOR/GENERAC 200 AMP ATS) due to auto-switch that turns on the generator within 30 seconds of the power failure, means everything. Also, they provide an app where you can access the generator (off/on etc) from anywhere in the world due to the software that is included with the generator. We live on a private road of 20 houses. I will be the envy of the street when the power goes out.....and it will. I just referred Ken and Fortified Energy Systems to my neighbor and she is going to hire them too. Look no further, they are specialists in this field and all techs are licensed, insured and bonded.

Ken Doyle and his crew installed a 24kw Generac NG generator at our home. It was in and done within a week of accepting the contract. They took care of all the electrical and extended the gas line with no issues. Went super smooth, an excellent job. Would hire them again. I wish all jobs went this easy! Thanks Ken and crew!

If you want the best-call them

Ken had the standby generator installed and running within 10 days of the first contact, including preparing site plan and schematics for San Diego County Building Permits. His quoite was complete, his County filing was exemplary - creatively overcoming permit issues, and on site work was first class and more than broom clean. He even made a return trip the following day to reset some breakers that one of his staff had inadvertently not reset after the installation. On site he engineered the slave power panel to separate circuits that would and would not be supported by the generator and engineered the interface to the previously installed solar system. Altogether a first rate professional job that was reminiscent of how customer service used to be and should be.

They started out very well. Knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and attentive to our needs. At some point, that changed when I requested a cleaner more professional routing of the main feed conduit. Then the true colors revealed themselves and I wish they had never set foot on the property. I have also never had the owner of a company drive down the street screaming obscenities at me so that was a bit unique.

Professional and cooperative. Very good at tailoring their installation to our particular needs and desires. All employees were clearly experienced and cooperative. Quick to respond to requests.

Their work was very professional. They kept the work area clean as the project progressed. Overall, I would definitely hire this company again. The work was performed back in late summer of 2020. Great guys.
