I contacted Chad after it was clear that my previous hire didn't know how to properly waterproof a bathroom, and also didn't know how to cut tile without chipping and damaging the edges. Burned once, I interviewed 5 different specialists in bathroom tiling, asking each of them to explain how they would do the waterproofing and what tools they would use with my specific tile (which chipped easily). Chad clearly had the most experience and knowledge, especially about new materials that enable superior waterproofing with less bulk (I was focused at the time on earthquakes and lighter tiles).
I was over an hour and a half from Chad's location, and was lucky to contact him when he had exactly the amount of days that would be needed to finish my project. Communication was clear, work commenced immediately and was done in a professional manner.
Though Chad wasn't cheap, I was happy to pay for superior knowledge, immediate service, and advanced tiling skills. The tiles had to be laid with almost zero grout lines, and to make things look right required precision and a dedication to quality, and NO shortcuts. Lastly, there were surprise problems due to the unusual space of the bathroom,and Chad was able to innovate with an eye towards superior aesthetics, not towards just solving the problem.
At the end of the day I have a beautiful looking bathroom tiled the right way.

He was great and meticulous about his work.

We had a leaky second-floor master bathroom shower in our twelve year old home. We found this company through Angie’s List,
and set up an appointment to get an estimate. Chad arrived on time to discuss our options and provided an estimate for all tiling related aspects of the job. We also brought in John Heller Construction, a general contractor from Fallbrook, for all other work…i.e. plumbing, electrical, vanity installation, etc…(We love this contractor, as well, and will be writing a review for them next week).

Chad and his crew always called when they said they would, always arrived on time, and started/finished our job on time and within budget. The quality of their work was absolutely spectacular…the best tiling I have seen. We also were able to get a 20% discount off of our tile from Arizona Tile by using their account. They always had great attitudes. I wish I had known about them earlier, but, in the future, we will always use/recommend them for all future projects.

Chad and his crew were very professional and personable. They took their time to make sure everything was perfect. We had a concept for the design of each room but nothing solid. Chad was able to suggest, advise, adjust, and create the perfect tile work to match our ideas.

Chad's pricing is very reasonable for his high quality craftsmanship and his ability to help with design. We were more than pleased with his work, and look forward to working with him again for our fireplaces and stairs.

I found CDC on the John Bridge Tile Forum. They were one of the few tile masters that worked in Orange County. Chad (CDC) responded immediately to my request for a quote. The next day I had his quote via email. Once I contracted with CDC they were prompt and timely in getting the shower torn out, rebuilt, tiled, as well as the floor. Chad has an eye for detail and an acute sense of aesthetics. He was helpful in providing ideas and guidance in creating a beautiful tiled shower. His co-worker Duane also did an excellent job and was very helpful in explaining to me how everything worked together. It took two days to tear out the bathroom (shower, vanity, floor) and the hallway old tile. They were neat and cleaned up at the end of each day. I stayed home during most of the work and they were extremely professional at all times. Chad picked up the tile for me, hauled away all the debris, showed up on time, and cleaned up at the end of each work day. Chad listened to all my ideas about the shower, looked at my drawings, and offered additional creative ideas. In the end the shower was a work of art and I couldn't be more pleased. The job took two days for the tear down and 5 days to rebuild the shower (Kerdi system - you gotta get this if you rebuild your shower!), including diagonal lay, glass tile, better bench, and a niche, and tile the bathroom and hallway floor (diagonal). The work is EXCELLENT - TOP NOTCH!!! Be sure to let Chad know what design you want and if you don't have a clue, he has an artistic touch - his goal is to make sure you are happy with the final product and he will work with you (even when you change your mind a dozen times!) to ensure you get what you want. I highly recommend CDC!!!! I will post pictures once I finish with the rest of the bathroom.

Chad personally does all the work and has impeccable attention to detail. Numerous times I observed that Chad and his assistant spent a lot of time planning the installation and layout in each area to make sure all tile would end up correctly and look uniform. The result...absolutely fabulous! Everyone who has been in my home have commented on the work and attention to detail in the work. Chad is an extremely honest tradesman and he remained true to his word and estimate. Even though he spent over an hour driving to my house for six weeks, he was there every single day throughout the job. I would highly recommend CDC and would not hesitate to recommend to any homeowner who wants the job done right the first time!
