Services we offer

Occasionally, bent hinges, garage doors and openers require service. The experts at Madden Door repair and service both the single-piece residential garage doors (sometimes called 'flip-up' doors) and the more modern sectional overhead garage doors that roll up on tracks. Whether the door has broken springs or cables, or a failing opener or remote, we can fix it – even if it wasn't installed by us. And when it looks cost-inefficient, we'll be relevant to your objectives in recommendations.

Excellent service. Installation went very well. Jeff was on time and very efficient in removing old door and installing the new door. The only hiccup was several days after the install, the door started giving us problems with closing all of the way. I called on Monday morning and they had a technician out that day and replaced the sensors. It turned out that being mounted on the tracks, the vibration of the door closing caused the sensors to trip. The technician took them off the tracks and secured them to the garage floor. We would do business with Madden Doors again.

Overall it went well; installation was on time and professional. A week or so later it seemed the door which had been fairly quiet became more noisy when going up and down. We called Madden and they did come out and lubricated the springs and track; and then told us that we needed to lubricate both the springs and track at intervals to keep it quiet. Also that we needed to use two different lubricants, one for the spring and one for the tracts. I'm afraid I forget now which gets which lubricant. The bottom line is that I was surprised that the door became noisier so soon after installation and felt that it would have been nice to be told about the lubrication requirements at time of installation. Even nicer would have been a small sample of each lubricant to get us going. Anyway, don't mean to nitpick as again, overall it was a good experience and we have gotten use to the door being a bit noisy and it does not bother us. the door operates very well and we are happy with it. The price was a bit higher than other contractors but the door is of good quality.

After replacement of the door opener and setting the remotes, the door opened and closed in response to my neighbors garage door remote. While the door was being opened in response to their opener, the door jumped the track and the tracks that holds the door was damaged. They told me i was not their fault, that the door being opened and closed in rapid succession due to there being multiple remotes commanding the door was the problem. So, they set it up to listen to the neighbors remote, the door jumps the track after they replace the opener and then charge me more money to fix the broken tracks. Note that the door had no such problems jumping the track before. In addition, i have two doors, which is obvious once you pull up in the driveway. The old outdoor keypad worked for both doors. After their replacement they put a keypad that only worked with the new door and not the other door as well. Was told i would have to go get another exterior key pad elsewhere.

Shoddy work, billed for mistakes they made.

I was very pleased with the person making the appointment for me. She worked around my schedule, was very clear on the time, and the price.

Jeff arrived promptly, and very quickly got the motor, chain and the door remote installed and working.
The cost was as stated over the phone with no surprises and he was very professional.

When I had a question about the rubber at the bottom of the garage door he didn't hesitate to check it out for me.
I was very happy with the service especially since I'm sure it was a relatively small job for them.

It's been working great with no problems since the installation.

Went great! Very quick, very clean, very pleased with the results. It's been at least 5 years since the garage door was installed, and it works as well today as it did the day it was installed.

Also, my garage is a "parallelagram", not quite a rectangle. This posed a challenge for Madden and Sons, but not a problem. They knew exactly what to do to make things look "square" even though the building is not.

Madden Garage doors did an excellent job from start to finish! They came quickly to give me an estimate and then ordered the door. Because my door was not working at the time they put me to the head of the line to get the new door installed so I would be safe in my home. The door itself was top quality and the workmanship and installation was as well. I have also used this company to do repairs in the past and they were great at that as well. When other companies told me I needed to replace this or that for big $$$ Madden came out and just fixed what really needed to be fixed which they only charged a service charge (there were no part replacements involved). I highly recommend them.
