The purchase of the supplies at the Pacheco, CA store went pretty smoothly. They assigned an installer to us that has done a absolutely terrible job of installing the flooring The installers team took 4 days to install the flooring and baseboard. When we did a walk thru with the installer for final sign off we had to point out the gaps at almost every seam throughout the 1,200 sq ft. The install gave us one option and that was to fill the gaps with putty. It took the installer another 22 days to fill the gaps with putty. Now most of the gaps are filled with putty, some of the gaps are half filled with putty and some are still just gaps.I understand that using a putty on some gaps during a flooring job may be normal however to have to fill almost every seam in a 1,200 sq.. ft job seems too much for me. Also during the initial walk thru with the installer there was a gap of over 1/2" from the trim around the hearth and the newly laid flooring. The install told us the hearth was uneven. After showing him with 3 different levels that the hearth was level it was the floor that was uneven he finally agreed. The cement slab under the flooring was uneven. I asked the installer why he would lay the flooring on this uneven slab without leveling it out first or at least calling me and asking how I would like it addressed. He had no explanation other than, "I guess I made a mistake". It has now been two months since they started the installation job and we are at a point where the installer is looking for a wood flooring inspector to come out and look at the installation job. I'm told it may take a week to find an inspector and possibly another two weeks to get his report. That will make the better part of three months to install 1,200 sq. ft of flooring in a single story home that no one currently lives in. Meaning there is no furniture to work around and no one living in the home to have to work around. This should have been a simple installation. My experience at the Pacheco, CA store was good except it was the store employee that assigned this installer to us.
