We were really happy with Steve. If you watch Holmes on Homes--he reminds me of that guy Holmes because he talks to you like a Dutch Uncle and isn't shy about telling you what is wrong with your house and exactly what must be done to fix it. He was recommended to me by a real estate agent--so you know he has an excellent reputation among people who constantly need work done well with a minimum of expense. He is really proud of the many ways he has to do the work in a cheaper way but never skimps on the quality. Really great!

Steven of FBC replaced my back and front porch that were decomposing from wood rot. During the estimate session, we spoke about what I wanted, what I wanted to spend and what I could get for my money. I gave an idea of what I wanted and Steven made suggestions so that the decks would be within code. The work was done on time and professionally. Although Steven found extensive dry rot which increased the cost from the initial estimate, FBC's attention to detail and design suggestions made this a pleasant experience. I noticed small things Steven did we didn't talk about; beveled corners on the railing, sunken screws, etc. He also gave me specific instructions on the things I could do myself and buy that would save me money.
