STEVE MARTIN CONSTRUCTION

I first hired Steve Martin in 1986 after hearing his wife say "well if you want a real craftsman you'd hire my husband." The job entailed re-siding, replacing a botched roof job from another contractor, remodeling a bathroom and replacing decks. The siding job was so beautifully done it looked like fine furniture. A few years later, we added an extensive addition creating a gorgeous craftsman home which was unfortunately severely damaged in a fire. The wrecking crew contracted several days to remove the remains. The addition was so solidly constructed that it took over 3 weeks to do they job. Happily I have replaced the house and an additional log guest house. The job suffered interruptions due to a divorce and refinancing issues, Mr. Martin accommodated these delays and completed a home which is a showpiece in our community. I've seen the same level of care and craftsmanship on other jobs, small homes and even fix-it jobs for elderly in our community. I might add, too that when money was advanced to him he credited back interest on funds not used in that time period. Not only was his wife correct about his craftsmanship but his care with my money earned an additional level of trust.
