We were having issues with our air conditioning unit and had Warren's come out. The a/c was occasionally cutting out and not restarting until hours later. A tech came out when it happened to be working and no problems were found. The owner, Frank, came out the next day and also couldn't diagnose the problem. He said everything checked out ok. He said we could leave the ticket open and if the problem came up again to call again and he'd get out here as soon as he could to check on things. We opted to close the ticket (paid their service charge) thinking there might be no new issues and our home warranty needed something saying it was functioning fine to cover it. But that same night it happened again! We called the first business day we could, which was about two or three business days later (my wife and I were in the hospital giving birth to our son in the interim). We called the day we came home from the hospital and given the runaround (no time to come) for three days. I finally explained our situation and that we had a newborn in a house with no a/c. Our house was getting up to 85 or 90 during the afternoon. The receptionist apparently called Frank while she put me on hold and explained the situation. No dice! I'll pencil you in for about 2 or 3 weeks down the road. No one else at the company could help us except for Frank and he didn't have time for us according the receptionist. Not sure what we did to **** Frank and/or the company off, but totally felt that they abandoned us when we really needed them! We have a little baby in the house and they wouldn't have anyone at all come out and help us! Craziest and most unprofessional service ever!!! We called another local company up and they said they'd have a tech out in about 3 or 4 hours. I'd never recommend Warren's! Call them at your own risk!

I really didn't check anywhere else. I had him do it and just paid what he wanted. Every time he said he would be here he was.

He was prompt in setting up a service call, came when he said, was courteous, fixed in a short period of time and instead of just replacing the burned-out fuse, he found the source of the bad fuse and took care of it.

Overall it went very well. They were very punctual and on time. They were a little pricey. They did the work at my rental property in CA, and the tenants said they were very nice.

This was good. There was a little bit of phone tag at the beginning. The tech showed up on time and was very polite. He was also very informative about the job he was performing. He did the system check and found no issues. He was also very clean while doing the inspection. The price was also reasonable for the service.

Ours is a two-story home in Manteca, built in 1992, with one furnace and A/C unit for the downstairs, and a separate furnace and A/C unit for the upstairs. For many years we have used Warrens Heating & Air Conditioning for servicing these units. Over the years, they have replaced various parts to keep these units running well. They always diagnosed and determined specifically which part was failing, and replaced only that part. They never tried to talk us into buying a new furnace or A/C unit. However, after 20 years it finally became apparent that these units had reached the end of their lives, so we decided to have both the upstairs and downstairs furnaces and A/C units replaced. They gave us a good price on some Bryant units, since we were replacing both furnaces and both A/C units at the same time. Throughout the installation process, which took a few days, the technicians/installers were friendly and professional. They took the time to answer the many technical questions we had about the new equipment. The guys worked well together and were easy to have around the house. The units were replaced in April 2013, and I am writing this review in November 2013, so we have spent our first long, hot summer with the new A/C units. They performed flawlessly. They are more efficient than the old units, and are much better than the old units at keeping the house at a steady, cool temperature. Now we are looking forward to spending a warm and cozy winter with our new furnaces!

I explained what I thought the problem was. He checked all the electrical components and made sure they were to manufacture's specs. Changed my filter which was very dirty.. Was there approx one hour.. Before leaving he said that if I had anymore problems with the unit that I should give them a call.

It went well. The guys came to the house at the time I was told they be there in the morning. After I showed them where everything was, they got right to work. They got the old air conditioning unit out as well as the old furnance from the basement (which they were able to pull out and get rid of for me). They took the whole morning and most of the afternoon to get the work done, rewiring things, installing the two different parts of the system, and cleaning up afterwards (which was really nice of them). They were never in my way (and of course I stayed out of their way so they could do the work). They were ok when I asked them about how the work was going, answering my questions about the unit, etc. Overall, I was pleased with the job they did at my house.

The estimator showed up on time. Evaluated the situation and informed me that I needed to replace the A/C unit. I was expecting that, so we agreed to have the work done. He also pointed out an open electrical junction box and said that they'd get that too, while they were up there.
Workman showed up a bit early. Crane operator was fast and efficient. I was amazed at how he navigated the electrical lines that spanned the parking lot with the crane and A/C unit. It took about a half day for the unit replacement. The junction box was connected to a breaker in a different part of the building, and the tenant was unavailable at the time.
The electrical work was rescheduled, and the work done quickly.
A month later, a different A/C unit stopped working. The repairman was out the next day, replaced contactor and fuses, and put in a hard-start kit. Hopefully, it will extend the life of that unit by 2-3 years as suggested it might.

Follow-up. On the A/C repair with a 30 day warranty, wouldn't you know... 30 days later, it failed again. On a very hot day, it caused the tenants' other equipment to fail. We got them in the next day to fix it again. Let's see if the warranty holds.

Unit was 30 years old. It took 2 1/2 days to replace. Added an additional duct which greatly improved the quality of the cooling and heating of house.
