REI

I have been going to REI in Manhattan Beach for bicycle repairs for several years. Each and every time they have repaired my bicycle with expert precision. On my most recent visit, I went in for a full tune-up and replacement of brake pads. One of the mechanics, Brian, called me to tell me that my front wheel was out of true. He explained to me that due to the nature of the spokes and their attachment to the rim, it could not be fixed. He explained how I could avoid having this happen in the future. A few days later, I was having trouble shifting. This is normal after the cables are replaced as the cables stretch. I walked my bike into the store on a Saturday afternoon and Neal, an awesome mechanic, fixed it on the spot. I have been riding high-end road bikes avidly for over 10 years. For the past five, I have taken my bike to REI Manhattan Beach ONLY for repairs and maintenance. The services is prompt, professional, and friendly. Ask for Brian, Neal, or Bob. All are great!
