piano tuning
 + -1 moreI called to make an appointment and was told that the service call would be $85. He was 20 minutes late for the appointment but called in advance to let us know he was running late, which I appreciated. When I received the invoice a few days later, they charged $100 instead of the price I was quoted. They claimed that it was because the call was longer than usual, and the normal cost would be $100/hour beyond 15-20 minutes. I feel disappointed that I was not told about the potential extra charge in advance and will probably not use them again.
Description of Work: They adjusted the pedal on an upright piano.

piano tuning
 + -1 moreDavid Anderson assessed the piano and only recommended work that needed to be done. He was there when he promised and returned as promised. It was a wonderful experience.
Description of Work: He rebuilt the action of a 1903 Steinway model 'O' grand piano. The bushings on the keyboard were replaced. He filed down the hammers and re-aligned the hammers to strike the strings correctly. He also balanced the keys so that the action was identical on all keys. Finally, a tuned piano.
