Ironically, Greg's professional presentation impressed me from the very beginning - and he was my first tree service estimate. Just the same, I requested, and received three additional estimates for trimming the deadwood from eleven Ponderosa Pines and Black Oaks located in my front and back yards.

The estimates from the other arborists ranged from $1200.00 to $3200.00! I still cannot fathom how anyone could submit a $3200.00 bid on such a relatively small project! Maybe "Sierra Tree Care" did not really want the job, or gave me the bid price that belonged to someone else?

On the morning of May 24, 2011, Greg and his crew of three other people arrived on time and immediately started their work on the trees in the backyard.

The backyard was chosen partly because a next door neighbor was having her septic tank installed on the same day (unknown to me in advance)! A neighbor across the street was also having a contractor perform some work, too, so the street around my home was crowded, to say the least!

The tree crew donned their hard hats and proceeded to climb the trees, using ropes and pulleys (NO SPIKES that might injure the trees!).

The crew cleaned up the front and back yards so well that I believe both were cleaner than when they arrived. They even chipped up some branches I had collected during the winter and was waiting for a dry spell to be able to burn them.

I now have more sunlight and less chance of dead branches falling on my car and house. The "tree line" and backyard look better to me - or is that just my imagination?

I can heartily recommend "The Tree Guy" to provide tree service for any of my friends.
