To trim front bushes and rake leaves in a small 4-Plex and small amount of work in back, David gave estimate $200 reg $300 better and #400 "the works". Apparently "the works" does not include raking up the leaves and taking them away. He did the work at end of Dec. and sent pictures. He wanted us to pay right before we saw what he did. We trusted him. That is probably why he wants you to pay right away. I would suggest not paying him until you look at what he did. We did trusted him - he will tell you he worked two days for the $400, but I have done this work before myself, and $400 is generous. He will tell you we contacted him 2 months after the job was done. This is true because we trusted him and had not reason to check. Then he did not respond until I was persistent. He will tell you he can't go back now because sooo many leaves have fallen in winter months. Be wary of this business, he will do as little work as possible if you don't nail down the contract. I would look for someone else.
