Moreno Plumbing Services & Heating

My 1947 gas floor furnace wouldn't fire up the heater after the pilot was lit. After several no-shows with other plumbers I found Moreno Plumbing and Heating. Not all plumbers who service heaters are willing to take on the old behemoth whole-house gas floor heaters. I found some with appointments in a week, but Moreno was available now, on a Saturday -- no extra fee and he showed up within the hour. He was polite and professional and had parts in hand. It was the thermostat and pilot regulator something-something and for $300 total my heater was working within 2 hours of calling. Should've called him first! He does have a $150 service fee for the Westside, but he told me if he comes, he's going to fix it. None of this "I'll be back" stuff if he takes your money. He charges $125 closer to home in Lynwood. Another thing I liked -- his helpers are his young son and nephew who get on-the-job training. Lucky boys. I will hire Mr. Moreno again.
