Mario's Tree Service

Mario was great. I called (he answered), sent him a pic, and he provided me with a quote a few minutes later. I wasn't expecting him to complete the job that same day, but he came out a few hours and his crew did an excellent job. He was fast, efficient and a true professional. They removed the brush and the area was cleaned. Additionally, he contacted me while he was at my home and asked me about tree I had forgotten a small tree and he took care of it as well. Offered other services as well. I would recommend him and use him again.

I'm the member of Angie's List and include the Los Angeles area of my subscription just for the purpose to look for contractors for my elderly mom.  My trip last week was just for this purpose.  I logged in and found three A-Rated tree removal service providers close to her home.  Of the three Mario was the only provider that actually answered my call on the spot.  The other two i was only able to leave messages.  One of those other A-rated providers did return my call within a couple of hours, and later that afternoon did send out an estimator to look at the job, but he didn't give an estimate on the spot, rather he said they could email it to us but because I wasn't home, my mom doesn't have email, so he said he would snail mail it.  As soon as I got back to my mom's I called the company and gave my email address.  We were motivated to get bids, but because the scheduler had no capable computer skills, she couldn't  email me the bid; I assume some day my mom will get the bid in the mail.  The other provider didn't return our call until the next day and by that time we had already selected Mario to do the job.

Now back to Mario's Tree Service.  I was impressed that he actually answered the phone on my first call.  In fact, he was so prompt and responsive, he said he could swing by within in 15 minutes to look at the job and give an estimate.  He accurately estimated his time, was there just as promised 15 minutes or less.  He is professional and personable.  He looked at what we needed, we had a brief discussion about options, and within in 10 minutes had a written estimate prepared.  We were impressed, and we thought it was reasonable, but wanted to make sure, so we waited to get the other bids.  That afternoon a provider not from Angie's list also gave a bid, and you already know about the other two A-rated providers that couldn't get their act together to give a bid.

That evening we decided not to wait and to call Mario's Tree Service to give him the job and schedule it.  Again, Mario impressed me.  He was able to schedule the job sooner than promised in our discussion, it was set for that Friday morning. Unfortunately I already left town, but my brother who was present for all the interviews over saw Mario's Tree service perform the job.  A team of 3 showed up as scheduled, they were professional, had the proper equipment. and in under two hours had the giant Bird of Paradise removed, root ball and all.  They left the area clean and free of all debris.  No one would have ever suspect a major removal occurred for how clean they left the flower bed, yard, sidewalk, and curb of the street.  

Wow, we are impressed with Mario's Tree Service and Mario the owner of the company in particular, we would highly recommend him for any of your tree or shrub removal needs.  Thanks Mario, you made my mom very happy!

Mario was exceptional in customer service and responsiveness. He really did work with me to get this tree done ASAP. Mario kept his word, when he said he will call me back within the hour, it happened. Mario really strive to provide the best customer service and work. Mario asked me to send a picture of the tree via text, and immediately gave me a quote (just like he said he would). 3 crew members were working on this project and it got done way before the estimated time (another plus). Definitely would recommend to friends, family and neighbors, and of course, I will be calling them again for other projects!

mario was willing to negotiate price. he was able to give me an estimate based on pictures of the yard i texted him, which saved both of us an appointment.
he and his crew of four showed up about 10 minutes early. he told me two hours to complete the job, it was done in an hour and 15. they were conscientious about cleanup, even insisting on blowing out some crud that strayed into the gated front yard of my neighbor. that's a welcome departure from my past experiences with contractors, whom you typically have to hound to do anything beyond minimal cleanup.

Very prompt,courteous, and clean. Mario and his team finished the job quickly raked the backyard. Excellent work.

They were fast. I called them that day to give me a bid within 45 minutes and about an hour later he called for the next week. Then he called me and said that his guys have finished a job and he was sending them to my house and they got the job done on the same day. They did a really good job.

Great work. Am about to use this service again.

Mario estimated the work and provided a fair and reasonable quote. A day and time was agreed upon. Mario and his crew arrived on time and proceeded to remove the hedge. I was impressed because while they removed the leafy part of the trees, they continuously raked all leaves to keep the area clean ( on both sides of a property fence). Because the area was inaccessible to a stump grinder, the root balls were taken out the old fashion way - pick and shovel. Not only did they remove the root ball, they dug roots that grew away from the trunk and raked and removed all the debris. All of this minor debris was raked and removed.
Mario's Trees Service does not have the highest number of reviews but feel that he has a service that I would recommend to anyone looking for a service that is fairly priced and excellent in quality. This is my first use of Mario and will always use or recommend his work.

He did a great job and I will use him again and again. He made the service cheaper because he was going grind down the fig tree, but it was entwined in my plumbing and he couldn't do it that way, so he brought the price down. He brought his men on time and prepared to work. They brought the proper equipment to do everything. I was very impressed with his service.

Mario not only provided the best deal, but also seemed to understand more about the process. We had just bought the home and had no idea what tree trimming would entail and had plenty of questions for him. All the while Mario answered our questions, addressed our concerns, and assured us everything would be handled within 1 day. Everything was indeed completed as stated and Mario and crew became the yearly call to trim trees until we called them out again last year to remove them altogether. As far as I'm concerned, if it has anything to do with the landscape I'll be giving him a call to get his take first.

Mario and his crew are by far the most professional and efficient tree service providers we have ever used. We asked 3 companies for a written quote, which Mario provided at very reasonable cost for removal of two large palm trees, a 30 year old hedge, ivy and other plants, as well as trimming of numerous palm trees. We also had them dig a trench around the house in preparation for an upcoming house stucco job. Mario accommodated our request to reschedule the date and arrived on time with his 3 workers and impressive truck and shredding equipment. All of them look, behave, and perform as very courteous professionals. They looked similar to Caltrans workers with complete tool belts and heavy equipment, as well as safety equipment. They started work promptly and quickly impressed us with their methodical, efficient, teamwork approach on the job. I had to go to work so my wife was home all day watching them work and answering their occasional questions for what she wanted when they ran into unusual problems or weren't sure what we wanted. They were very careful not to damage our property and had to work in some difficult areas, including high wires. They were incredibly hard working, efficient, courteous, and went way beyond our expectations for complete clean up, including our neighbors yard. Our neighbors also commented that they had never seen such a good cleanup and said they would keep Mario's number for future work they may need. This was one of the few times we felt we got great value and a positive outcome, and was better than expected by far. We HIGHLY recommend them.

Contacted Mario to schedule an estimate appointment on Friday 3/2/12. Appointment was scheduled for later that day however he did not show up or call to reschedule. I received a message today in which Mario apologized for missed appointment (due to a family emergency). Mario contacted me today Monday 3/5/12 and offered to come over today to do the estimate. He quoted a very reasonable price and an appointment was scheduled for later in the week. Mario called later that afternoon and was able to complete the work the same day. Service exceeded expectations, crew was professional and area was left clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and hire in the future.

Mario's excellent service removed two trees. One of the trees was over 30 feet. All calls were returned promptly. They arrived as scheduled, actually 15 mins early work started immediately. Fast, professional service I would highly recommend.
Clean up was immaculate it started raining before they completed the job, but they continued to work even through the down-pour.
Such professionalism! I took before and after photos, neighbors as well as co-workers will keep these guys busy for quite sometime.
So if you are look for fast, professional, inexpensive tree services, give these guys a call you won't regret it. I called three tree services in total I have to say the 3rd time was a charm.
