More Than Carpentry

Mark Ayers is the genius and power behind "More Than Carpentry". I can't say enough about his skill, knowledgeability, and professionalism. And besides all of that, he is wonderful to work with - easy going, adaptable, helpful, and with a sense of humor. I have had him do quite a bit of work for me over the past several years, and I highly recommend him. The latest thing he did was to completely replace the shower in our master bath. The estimate he gave me for redoing the shower in the master bath was a little higher than I was hoping it would be but I have learned from sad experience that it is never a good idea to go looking for the lowest bid - any time I did this I always regretted it. Mark started the work at the agreed time and it took maybe a day more than he figured. When he had finished the demo on the old shower, he found that some of the wood substructure had gotten wet and rotted, and therefore had to be replaced. I was glad I had not delayed the work any longer. As work progressed, Mark consulted with me frequently about various details to make sure everything was done the way I wanted it. The shower is finished now and absolutely gorgeous. I could not be happier with it. I have had Mark do other work for me before this. He repaired our decks, improved a downstairs area so it is now a wonderful recreation suite, built some super-strong storage shelves in the garage and in a separate storage room, and fixed numerous other items. When I have more work that needs to be done, I will go to Mark. I don't mind waiting to get on his schedule if he's currently busy because I know that things will get done right. I highly recommend him.
