They took advantage of the fact that my tenant was at work and had his nanny sign for the work. They charged $565 for a simply replacement of a $17 part. Going rate (I've checked around a lot) is about $120 max. Then they tried to justify it by claiming the part cost them $77 and they triple the price of the part because "they have to procure and store it." I checked again - the part is readily available at Home Depot or Ace for about $17.

Had a gushing faucet that wouldn't stop flowing in master bathroom Jacuzzi tub. Called Simply Green and they sent someone within the hour. Plumber was courteous, kept me informed on the progress of work, and wore shoe covers to keep the indoor carpets clean from his muddy boots. First he turned the water main off at the street, diagnosed the problem, and then told me he would go shopping for parts. Came back within a reasonable amount of time, replaced faucet and was done. Very pleasant experience and outcome for an emergency situation, resolved professionally and promptly.

We called SimplyGreen on a Saturday and left a message on the answering machine. Russell Stone, the owner, called within minutes and after briefly explaining our situation he was at our home in two hours.

To make things more complicated, there were dependencies with the future remodel that involved rotating the water heater, tearing down cabinets in the garage and installing firewall sheetrock. All the while, Russell was willing and cooperative to help us get the results we needed.  He had a can-do attitude, and was very pleasant and professional. After discussing the work and answering our questions, he wrote up a proposal on the spot.

• The day of the water heater installation and repipe was full of activity. The SimplyGreen crew showed up early, but waited patiently until the official start time while we hurried to clear out the last few items from the bathrooms. Russell scheduled a big crew to ensure they would leave us with running hot water by the end of the day.

They immediately got to work, first covering the floors and then proceeded to tear out the old pipes. There was a lot of activity and everyone was working very hard and efficiently. It was a bigger project than I had imagined, but in the end, they replaced the water heater and the old pipes, then connected the shower, bathtub, toilets, kitchen sink, dish washer and washing machine. It was a long day and Russell was the last to leave at about 7:30 PM.

They cleaned up after themselves and left us with all the faucets and appliances operational. It was quite impressive that they accomplished this in one day. After enduring lukewarm showers for so long, we enjoyed a wonderful hot shower that night.

Over the next week, SimplyGreen returned to complete a number of follow-up tasks, such as the City inspection, adjusting the valves to our temperature preference, patching stucco and drywall, filling up the trench, etc. Russell was committed to completing every last task, even working in the rain. He even made an effort to improve things, like raising the outdoor valves to a more comfortable height and replacing the vent screen which was used to pass pipes under the house.

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed by SimplyGreen. They were very responsive to our phone calls and always courteous. Although the house turned into a construction site for the project, the workers were very respectful of our property, wearing booties or putting down a tarp which was very much appreciated. We feel very fortunate this project turned out as well as it did and would not hesitate to hire SimplyGreeen again.
