A couple of months ago, when we came back from vacation on a Saturday, our alarm system malfunctioned.  My codes did not work, but the alarm went off.  What was more upsetting was the system, which Fire Alert purportedly monitored and maintained did not call either the police or themselves.  I started calling them frantically.  I was a woman alone at home with two six year olds, every so often, the dogs would set off a motion alarm.  I suffered through this for hours!!!   I called and paged their service repeatedly, and got absolutely no response for four hours.  Then I called our contractor, and got a referral to another monitoring service.  Even though I was not their client, their rep, patiently walked me through resetting the alarm system and disconnecting it at the panel.  I then hired them to come out as soon as they could to reconnect and fix our system.    No one bothered to call back until Monday, and their only response was that they don't work weekends, they just provide alarm monitoring.    I switched over service providers in the beginning of September, but forgot to let them know.  I called them back today and asked politely if we could pay for just September, since they had not actually been providing services since then for sure, and possibly for months before that since the alarm system was set up incorrectly and was not even calling the police upon being triggered.  I got yelled at.  So please use their service at your own risk.
