California Closets San Jose

A robber had broke into our house and demolished our closet organizer trying to get a floor safe out.
California Closets came out and gave us an estimate based on the plans that they had kept from the original installation.  We were able to send the new estimate to our Insurance Company.
We arranged for the work to be done and left a deposit.  
The day of the rework, the worker, Brandon, was on-time.
He put heavy tarps on our floors to protect them (it had been raining and these also kept our floors dry).
He asked questions and answered questions to make sure that we were getting everything that we needed.
He repaired damage to the wall that had occurred when the robber had pulled the safe attached to the floor, which was extra work for him.  And, was sympathetic with us on how the damage had occurred.
He left the invoice and let us know that we could pay the rest with the card that we used or contact the office.
He worked quickly and we were surprised that he had already picked up the tarps and swept the area after two hours of work!  We thought it would take twice as long as it did!
We would definitely recommend California Closets again!

Patty Kane visited and mapped out each of the closets. She had great ideas, understood how to put them into a layout, had a good understanding of the software used to create the layouts. The installers were professional and cleaned up the sawdust after the job was completed. The quality was very good e.g. pieces aligned and matched, smooth drawer pullouts, no dings on walls.

Experienced designer drew up plans. Did not apply any pressure. Gave her opinions which I appreciated. Very efficient with one meeting and the rest by phone, scanning and fax. Set up appt for installer and he came on time. Was pleasant and accommodating, and did a good job. Cleaned up after himself. I like that they will come out if any problems in the future, as long as we remain in the house.

I had a home visit to talk with a consultant regarding what might be
done. She took careful measurements and discussed ideas, keeping in
mind my needs and wishes. A few days later, I visited their show room
to see materials that would be used and saw the computerized plans that
were made for my closets. I then returned home to compare the designs
with what I might need. Then after relaying some minor changes, the
consultant made one last visit to my home to double check measurements
and finalize plans.
Within two weeks the installers came, (a few
minutes early for their appointment), and within three hours removed all
the old material, patched walls and installed the new units for three
reach in and one walk-in closet. They were very courteous and
carefully laid down protective covers on the carpets where they worked.
I am very pleased with the services provided. The price was higher
than other companies I consulted, but I felt the quality of the
planning, workmanship, and materials was worth it.

It started with us visiting california closets to take a look at some designs. Once we were there and liked some of them, they scheduled a free consultation with designer at our home. Designer took detailed measurements, asked us about our preferences and said she would send the designs and quote in few days. As promised we got design and quote in few days and scheduled installation. There is not much to say because everything went smooth.

I was very happy with them. I had Lisa as the salesperson and she was very knowledgeable. She went very fast. It worked well and I'm very happy. They did an excellent job for me. I'm building houses and I will have to equip some of the closets so I'll probably call them because they are very fast and very efficient. Price wise, they are fine.

California Closets is reliable and they show up as scheduled, unlike some other contractors we've used. Lisa is a polished professional, yet warm and friendly. A request for a last-minute design change did not faze her; she took it in stride. Earl, the installer, was also very professional, yet friendly and personable, too. After the closet installation, Lisa came to inspect the finished product, which we appreciated.

The work was great. They came out as scheduled and everything was good. The work was really good as per my expectations. I don't have any bad reviews about their work. Lisa was the lady who did the designing and she was good. Some other guy came in and installed the closets. So the quality was good and her design was good. I didn't really like the person who came to install the closets. His behavior was professional and he greeted me as well but I didn't like the way he was dressed. His pants were really low and I didn't like that. If I want somebody to come home and do the work, I would want someone dressed professionally. I wouldn't like someone dressed lousily. He didn't wear his pant and belt in a proper way. That was the only problem that I had but otherwise the company was good. My designer as well was good. We will use their services again in the future.

Lisa came to look at all the closet spaces and offered solutions. She suggested a visit at their office to look at materials and ideas. She provided detailed computer drawings within a few days with a quote. Delivery and installation were very fast in approximately 1 week to 10 days. Lisa followed up after installation. I had the drawers hardware changed to self closing one and that was performed in a week as well as some light filing on the edges.

They have a great showroom in San Jose. It makes it easy to see what you're going to get. We worked with a designer who customized our cabinet to exactly what we wanted. We went back and forth several times to get the design perfect. The installer did a great job. The cabinet is really solid. We had spent a lot of time working out the details of a special cubby hole cabinet within our cabinet with the designer. We sized it exactly so that the door could swing without hitting obstructions. But after all that careful planning, we got a cubby which was different from the design anyway. The door still worked but it was not exactly what we had asked for. However, I thought the difference was not significant enough to mention. I'm sure they would have come back immediately to get it exactly the way it was designed. But I didn't want to bother so I didn't mention it.

DesignConsultant Kathleen came to our house for measurement and got back in two days with a design proposal. We reviewed the design and made several iterations of changes. Kathleen is very professional, helpful, and patient during the whole process. She is also very responsive to our queries until the installation day. Three workers came on time and finished the installation in half a day. The final outcome is what we expected, and we are very pleased with it. We had shopped around for price comparison purpose, and found that California Closets pricing is reasonable, not the most economical though. But we picked this company for the its overall performance. A few months after the installation, there was a small problem. We contacted the company. In less than one week, they sent a technician to our home to repair the problem to our satisfaction.

Their work is excellent; Lisa, the closet planner, is a pleasure to work with. She is meticulous about detail and went over the plans exhaustively until we were satisfied. In addition, she is great about returning calls and responding to emails. This company offers a full range of finish and hardware choices. We have maximized our storage space and now have extra hanging space (guess I need to buy more clothes!). We also selected a folding ironing board for the master closet, and it is super handy! Earl, the installer, was also fun to work with--he arrived on time, was friendly and personable, and did a terrific job installing everything. Although CC is pricey, you get what you pay for and I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!

Designer was very knowledgeable and quickly put together the designs. The installers were in and out in one morning and left everything clean. I had no problem at all with the service which I got through Costco. However, even with the Costco discount, the price was almost twice as high as another estimate. I don't know if I could have have a similar product for much less.

The women who designed the closet was very helpful. The guy who came to put it in was very professional and the closet looks great.

The whole measure and plan process went very quickly. It was almost too easy. They did talk me out of long hanging space, which I regret slightly. But, luckily I have other closets! The demo and install process was quick, too. After it was all installed, I was given a thorough explanation of what had been done. The only problem was that the installer cleaned everything with an orange cleaner that was quite strong and stinky. I can still smell it after 4 days, and will most likely have to remove the closet doors and blast a few fans at it, to get the stench to go away.

Went well. Very satisfied. Job was done right and accurately. Cleaned up after. Would recommend.

The designer and installers were very professional and courteous. They took my sketches and created the home office system exactly as I envisioned. I was completely satisfied and will utilize them in the future for other various storage systems throughout my home.

Good experience. Sales person Simon was professional. They had small dimensions glitch, which was attended to properly (same day).

The designer (Karen) worked with me to make sure I was comfortable with it and that it met our needs. Once installed, I couldn't believe the difference the closet organizers made with being able to see all the clothes and actually wear them because we could find them. The installer was prompt, professional, and really knew his stuff. Everything was done right on each of the three installation days; we didn't have any issues or need any adjustments at all. It seemed a bit pricey at the time, but I would be hard pressed to go back to a 'regular' pole-and-shelf closet now.
