The three movers showed up on time, removed the legs, wrapped the piano and loaded the  piano very carefully.  This is quite important because if it is dropped or banged the sound board can split and make the piano useless.  They padded and secured the piano well in an appropriate sized van for a grand piano.

They drove from Davis to Morgan Hill promptly.  There were several steps up and down at the destination and the three movers plus dolly got the piano over the steps and into a small living room carefully.

At all times I felt that they used the best methods and were careful to avoid any damage to the piano.

Scheduled the move over the phone. They asked lots of details and gave an estimate on the phone.
On the move-out day, they arrived a few minutes early. They took very good care with the piano. They had all the right equipment and were clearly well experienced. They asked me to help with one task (repositioning the dolly as they held the piano up), but I think that's just because I was there and able; I'm sure they could have handled it without my help if need be. The piano was left in a back room, on its side and bundled up in blankets.
On the move-in day, they called and asked if they could come some hours earlier than we had scheduled; that was fine with me, so they did. They moved it back, again with a little help from me and again with good care.
My only disappointment is that the phone estimate included carrying the piano up and down two stairs; that turned out to be unnecessary, but they did not reduce the bill.
I would recommend these folks and would use their services again.

They arrived on time, very polite and professional, and immediately took care of the two pianos that were to be moved. They were efficient and fast yet provided comfort in the care of my pianos.

They did a great job.
Arrived on time, two guys, very friendly, very professional, very efficient.
Picked up Upright piano from Mountain View. two steps.
Dropped off in Sunnyvale, up two steps.
One guy is a piano tuner, both are quite knowledgable about the instrument.

Two movers from Adagio arrived with the piano, lowered it carefully out of the truck and into our home. They had wrapped it so it would not get damaged during transportation. They looked the piano over a bit and were even able to tell us a bit about our new old 1908 upright grand that we did not know. They were efficient, friendly, courteous and most of all, very careful.

These piano movers arrived promptly and moved our piano with ease. They even told us the date of manufacture of our piano and the wood used in its construction which was very helpful in our decision to keep our piano. However, we did think that the price was steep considering the short distance of the move. On the other hand, we had no doubts about the integrity of the piano as a result of this move and we were very happy about the complete absence of any damage to our piano as well.

Very professional mover. He showed up on time and was amazing to watch as he seemed effortless in his negotiations with the physics of moving. He took great care, understood the uniqueness of moving a musical instrument and had also agreed to move some large pieces of furniture for me. He had a hard work ethic and an attention to detail of the furniture pieces, the walls, the placements, negotiating the stairs and more.

I called Adagio Piano Services on 1/27/2010 to get a quote for moving my very heavy Baldwin Concert upright piano from my living room to my family room. He quoted me a price range of $75-95 and said he could come out on the next day at 9:30 a.m. I got a call that morning saying he was running about 10 minutes late. (I never mind if workmen are a little late as long as I get a courtesy call!) He showed up and decided the best route to take was out the front door and around through the back because going through the house entailed several more stairs and doorways. The move was accomplished carefully and efficiently by two strong men. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and because he was able to take the easier route he only charged me $75. In comparison to this stellar service, I had contacted another company (San Jose Piano Movers) the previous week and they had quoted me a price of $125. That guy said he would call Sunday to let me know what time he would be here on Monday. Yeah, never heard from him again..... I would highly recommend Adagio Piano Movers. They did a great job.

He's very affordable. He charges much less than the other places I called. Very prompt, punctual. A nice guy. Very professional. He knows what he's doing; he makes it look very easy, although its very difficult to move a baby grand. He answers the phone each time I call.
