We had a broken window in an exterior door.  I called Z&J in the afternoon for them to come out and fix it.  I spoke to a man at 4pm and he said they would be out to fix the window the next morning at 8:30am.   Gave him address and telephone number.  They never showed up.   I called the shop in the morning at about 9:10a and they acted as if they had no clue who I was and I was clearly not on their schedule.   Still, they took my number and promised to call back.   Never called back.   I would not call this shop again.  Wasted my morning.

I work in the entertainment industry, specifically, lugging rented props all over town. Many, if not most, prop houses attach grossly inflated valuations to their inventory, hoping you'll destroy it, and ensure, for them, a big payday. Our time frames are ludicrously small; there's just no time to wait around. One time, a $5000 glass conference table, with a top 48"x 96" x 5/8" thick, with beveled edges, was cracked while loading it into our truck. The prop house in question provides us with no cradle or packaging for this monstrous (and monstrously heavy) piece of glass, all in the hopes that we'll break it. The crack penetrated about 3/4" into one end. Z&J cut 1 1/4" off the end, matched the bevel, polished it, and turned it around in 2 hours. They apologized for having to charge a rush fee, and billed me $125.00. This saved the production company a charge of $4,875.00. The prop house still doesn't know that their once 8 foot long table is now 7' 10 3/4", but to h*** with them. I can't say enough good things about this company. They have the coolest glass working tools out back, their guys (who I've used on other jobs) are total pros, and the stuff is most always ready before they say it will be. No one in Hollywood that I've sent to them has complained that they weren't fantastic.
