great. i used to do 95+ percent of my own auto repairs and maintenance while my health was good. from that perspective i have without question found that very few auto mechanics in los angeles are competent and honest. i have had many bad experiences as a result of not being able to do the work myself, even for the most basic maintenance . i feel very lucky to have found someone to replace the one good mechanic i used here who retired . i found new mechanic quickly after joining angies list rather than the hit-or-miss networking i used before asking friends,my dr.s, etc. this guy is very concientious and forthright. i made an appointment and the work was done as promised after listening to me and consulting me as the work progressed, as i had requested. the work was also cmpleted on time.i won't be going in with dread as i usually have in the past when the time comes for work on the car. i wish he worked on vintage toyota vans-i'm still looking for a mechanic for that vehicle.

I used to get my cars serviced at Miller Toyota Culver City, but once ownership changed I was over-charged too much to ignore. I saw Yuki Imports on Angie's list and called them when I experienced problems turning over the ignition. I thought it might be the battery, but they questioned me about the sounds I was hearing (none), and said they thought it was the starter. I was able to bring the car in immediately and the work was done the same day. The cost was in line with averages I saw online. I received a thorough explanation for the work being done. I am very pleased and will return.

Honest and punctual. Prices are always as expected and my car is always ready when they say it will be. The shop doesn't have the typical misogynistic feel of other mechanic shops, which is a nice extra. I'd highly recommend.

Lube, oil change, and general assessment of additional service that might be needed. They said everything was fine and nothing additional needed to be done. Honest, friendly, prompt and professional! |

Dropped off the car they called within an hour with details, do oil change, change air filters, tighten belts, and replace brake lights that were out. Said brakes and tires were ok. Car is old and has some minor leaks but nothing needing attention.

I found Yuki through NPR's CarTalk radio show review list.  They were so highly rated that I had to give them a try.  They have this sign in their office that said "we appreciate the positive feedback but please  do not review us on Yelp because we cannot handle all the business".  I found it funny but this review is for Angieslist.  Max
runs the office and Victor is the head mechanic.  If you have not been there before or do not have an appointment they will give you an attitude.  Once you are known to them they do excellent work. 
Their prices are somewhat expensive to me because I do my own maintenance and I do shop around on more major repairs that I cannot do myself.  I think the higher prices its their method to weed out the people and work they do not want.  If you are the typical yuppie or millennial who know very little about cars but drives an expensive one and do not want to pay the dealer prices, Yuki is the place for you.  They are like the Whole Foods of auto repairs.  So you get what you pay for and they can be trusted to do a good job but remember they need to know you before they will treat you nice :).

My cousin has had work done there as well and we are both pleased with this service provider. Every aspect of what they do is good. They are very efficient and quick. They are always on time. They are very polite and honest as well.

I own a 2004 Toyota Camry, and have been taking my car to Yuki Import Service this past year after my previous repair shop changed ownership. As the daughter of an auto mechanic, I am very impressed with this shop's professionalism and courteous service. I immediately felt I could trust the staff to only do necessary repairs, and perform them in an excellent manner. Their prices are much lower than dealerships, and they have much more integrity. Since my father worked for dealerships, I know their service writers often recommend unnecessary, costly repairs. This is definitely not the case with Yuki Import Service.

Yuki imports has been my mechanic for over 4 years now and is the only one I trust to touch my cars (lexus ES 350, Nissan Maxima, formerly Hyundai Elantra). I highly recommend Victor and Max

Victor at Yukis always explains what repairs should be done to keep the car safe and running properly and also what repairs don't need to done. I have been to Yuki's several times for my other car and he wouldn't do the repairs he didn't feel were necessary that the dealer wanted to do and charge me twice as much. They are very good about calling and discussing any other things they find that might need repair and finish when they promise.

I've been going to Yuki Import Service for a couple of years and have always found them to be reliable and professional. They haven't always been able to perform more involved work on my car, which is a Subaru, so they've occassionally referred me to the dealer.

He is very honest. If you dont need any work done he'll tell you. He doesn't overcharge and he doesn't do work that doesn't need to be done.

I have never had a bad experience here. Max and Victor are extremely helpful and friendly and they are honest to a fault.

I received recommendations and positive comments from a radio program. I opted to hire them for services and am quite pleased. They are honest and do not up sale. The company will state their limits on repairs. If they do not feel they are capable of completing it, they will recommend someone else who can. I have used their services for 3 years. On some occasions, they have done a few minor tweaks as a complimentary service. This is one of the few places who can work on a Subaru who I recommend.

They did a good job and are very fast as well. I trust them 100% and I am always pleased with their service. They are accurate with everything and know exactly what to look for when working on something. I would highly recommend them to anyone because they are so honest and reliable.
