TRM Plumbing provides fast, efficient, friendly and honest service. I called to schedule an appointment and they were here within a day. Todd and Seth are extremely professional, reasonable, and different from  other companies who jack up the charge for services. I will make sure to go through this company again for all my plumbing needs. Thanks TRM!

It was perfect.  I've never had much more of a pleasant experience with particularly a plumber in my home.  I've had past experiences in which they trample the dirt on their shoes on my clean hardwood floors and ruin the finish on my white hand-inlaid tile bathroom floor. They tried a hard-sell on everything from water softeners to dryer vents by the group TRM Plumbers did none of that.  They are the ultimate in professionalism : clean, neat, on-time if not unexpectedly early, fast and if, after they complete the job they makekrecommendations on how to improve your water use they suggest equipment or techniques to do so, without the hard sell of previous plumbers and, even if you hadn't budgeted for their recommendations at thus time it behooves you to get it now so as to save money in the future.  I highly recommend TRM Plumbers to anyone in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas because they are  a fantastic group of plumbers who are welcome to any family are now to our family as our go-to plumbers.

The technicians are always very timely. Some of the things that we needed done had very costly quotes, so I did them myself, but other items they were more reasonable on.

My water heater was leaking onto the floor.  I called TRM, as I had used their services in the past.  They installated a new 40 gallon water heater and made recommendations to bring the installation up to code and provide additional safety for the occupants.

I called TRM Plumbing to help with a water heater replacement at my  father's house. I have used them in the past at other properties that I manage and they did an amazing job. My father's water heater was in the  basement of his house and they explained to me that he did not have the proper pump system in the basement to deal with any potential leaks in the heater. They explained our options thoroughly: (1) to intsall a new heater in the basement ant the appropriate pump system and (2) we could install a tankless water heater outside of the house to avoid having to install a pump system. I never really thought about it before, but a water heater is a gas-fired appliance, and having it outdoors just seems more logical than in my parent's basement (which is directly under their bedroom). The guys at TRM explained that by eliminating the heater in the basement,  there would be no risk of carbon monoxide emission into the house. My father is an "old-timer" and had difficulty wrapping his head around the idea of a tankless water heater, but they took  the time to carefully explain the concept to my dad in terms that he could understand.
In the end, we decided to go with the tankless water heater and we couldn't be more pleased. We were also happy to learn of the SoCal Gas rebate on the heater and the 12-year warranty (the usual warranty is 6 years).
In the process of this installation, they also pointed out that my parent's dryer was venting underneath the house instead of to the exterior, causing a fire hazard. They didn't pursue a job to fix the issue, they just wanted to bring it to our attention and left without the usual "upsell" I have experienced in the past from other companies. I appreciated their patience and professionalism especially while dealing with my 88-year-old father.
P.S. I read in some of the other reviews on this site that some people were questioning their assessment fee.  First of all, this cost was credited back to us in full. Second, the job was done without any headaches and I have the piece of mind that my parents are in good hands. I have used MANY MANY plumbers in my experience as a property manager and an assessment fee (especially one that is credited to the job cost) is the least of your worries in this town. They are real professional with real experience, and I don't know where you can get that for free.

I have hired TRM a couple of times. Their work is very thorough and of high quality but they are pricey. Nothing is ever a "straightforward" job. They always find additional "problems" that need attention before they finish. As a result, you often end up paying $200-300 more than you originally budgeted. Get a few estimates before you hire TRM.

A plumber came, unstopped the drain, and made recommendations to reduce the number of future stoppages, as kitchen clogs is an on-going problem for me. According to the service technician, because of the way the piping was configured, waste was not properly carried out to the sewer. I requested an estimate for the proposed work, because I was impressed with the assessment and anxious to get started. I waited several weeks, and received no estimate.  I sent an e-mail inquiring about the quote--still no contact from TRM.
My overall rating reflects my disappointment in the lack of commitment by this company, which really deserves an A rating. However, when a company tells a customer they will do something, and fails to make good on that promise, it shows a lack of professionalism. On the other hand, perhaps they decided they did not really want my business after all. Ouch!

I don't like that they charge to come out and do the estimate. If I choose to use them for the service, they will deduct the fee from the total. But, everyone else is offering free estimates. I do not think this is right.

I had a drip irrigation system in the backyard that provided water to several groups of bamboo around a pond. The system was no longer working adequately, and was leaking in spots. The TRM folks came out and looked at the system and proposed replacing it entirely --- which involved a new control system [this one hardwired rather than battery powered] and a new system of pipes [copper piping around the area with irrigation hoses connected every few feet] and valves. This is a fairly elaborate new system, and fairly expensive, but the workmanship was thorough and thoughtful and the system seems well designed. I was pleased -- after some frustration in searching -- to locate a local outfit that understands and is skilled at installing drip irrigation technology. At the same time, they replaced an indoor toilet that was no longer functioning well. The job was efficient and well done [there is no sign of damage to the tile work around the toilet] and the new toilet is a notable improvement.

TRM Plumbing did EXCELLENT work!  They showed up on time, recommended modifications to correct a problem with pipes under the sink, and overall did a top notch job.  This is not the cheapest plumbing company in LA, but perhaps the best.  This is a locally-owned business that really shows pride of workmanship.  TRM did this work near the Larchmont Blvd / Hancock Park neighborhood in Los Angeles.  I would recommend TRM for any job big or small.

Finally, an honest plumber!
I called and left a voice message and I also filled out their online ticket. I spoke with Todd and explained the problem and that I had already turned off the water to the house. He explained that there was a $135 charge to determine the problem and if they did the work, this fee would be deducted. He gave me a time frame for someone to come out. A short while later he called and advised me they were on their way. Todd and his son, Seth arrived and they were so nice and patient. Very knowledgeable and they explained everything thoroughly in a way I could understand. I thought it was the water heater, but there was broken pipe under the house, which was under the water heater. Seth went under the house and replaced it right away. My water heater is old and will need replacing soon and we discussed it. They explained different types of water heaters and what I need for my house.
Great service, great people and I highly recommend them. They are on my permanent list. Having a good plumber takes so much of the stress out of a stressful situation.

When the new toilet was installed, it did not fit the space we had in the bathroom. The floor had some problems that resulted in the toilet being unstable and rocking.  Shims were inserted at the base of the stool.  But, then the stool was very high - too high for comfortable use.  Triple R Plumbing was called, came to assess the situation, identified the problem and fixed the problem.  They reinstalled the toilet to our satisfaction.  This was all done in a morning.

They went out of their way to provide excellent service. They did the job right the first time and clean up after themselves. They communicated very well and were prompt. They were professional and clean. The system works great and they had terrific follow up. They were willing to work with me on all fronts of the process.

TMR got such good grades on Angie's List that I decided to try them.  I don't know what went wrong.  The guy on the phone was always pleasant and cheerful, and understanding about my need to cancel and reschedule.  But I don't understand why he wouldn't accept my request to set a new appointment up.  I did as he asked and used their website.  Maybe the website failed to deliver my request. Who knows.  But it's not a good business practice to refuse a personal phone call requesting an appointment.  I won't bother trying TMR again.

They were puntual.  The plumber who came didn't even stop for lunch so that he could arrive on time.  Our sewer pipes were old, so to fiqure our how to tackle the problem most cost effectivelycall his boss and the owner came out personally to take a look.  They managed to save us 50% on what it would have cost if we upgraded everything.  That was REALLy appreciated.

I was extremely pleased with TRM's service and price. Our very, very old faucet valve in our bath/shower had been failing, and one evening got to the point where it would not shut off. I tried to replace it myself, but it was so old that pieces of it literally crumbled in my hands as I removed it, and I discovered that the interior part was fused to the pipes and could not be removed. To make matters worse, the main shut off valve outside (also very, very old) would not completely shut off. So it was a night of slowly dribbling water from the faucet, and almost zero water in the rest of the house. Early the next morning I started calling plumbers, trying to find one who could come the same day. After reaching a couple of message machines, I tried TRM and was very happy to hear a live person on the other end of the phone. It was Seth, who with his dad Todd, are the owners of TRM. Seth was incredibly polite and sympathetic; he took all my information and told me that he would make sure he had someone come to my house as soon as possible to fix it. I called back a little later to see whether he had made in progress in finding someone to help me, and it turned out that Seth and Todd had just pulled up in front of my house - wow! They came in and were both friendly and polite, and then after looking both inside and out at the bath/shower valve and the outside shut-off valve, they had one of their plumbers, George, come right over. George worked for several hours without a break. He finished the job by the time I had to leave, and he did it perfectly. Like Seth and Todd, George was very courteous and friendly. There was not a speck of dirt when he was finished, and the work was flawless. And a definite added bonus was the fact that they were all very kind to my dogs and were extremely attentive to making sure they closed doors going in and out so that neither the dogs nor my cats (who hid the whole time) could escape. (And if you visit their website, check out their link "Our Best Friends", which is a page of their customers' pets - wonderful!).

We looked for a plumber in the area and TRM came within the HOUR. The toilet didn't want to flush and the bathtub was filled* with grey water. They evaluated the situation and explained to us what was going on at each step and suggested services that they thought were appropriate but did not pressure us at all. They snaked the pipes and also stuck a minipipe camcorder to see what was going on (roots) and it had a live feed hehe. Even though the situation wasn't the most fun, it was fun to be able to see all the cool gadgets and to have them explain what they were doing, what everything was for. At one point, Seth busted out a giant pipe-finder-crossbow-looking thing. We are very pleased. The price was very reasonable, even when you take into account their promptness and efficiency, and I feel very confident in their work.
