Recently we decided to purchase our first investment property so we asked Todd for help. He was great at sending us options and explaining the nuances of investment properties. He let us know what to look for in terms of being able to rent the property after we purchased it, and for ways to analyze the numbers so that we would understand the best way to leverage our money while still being able to cash flow. Our schedule was a bit crazy so we would want to look at properties last minute. He was able to accommodate us and get us in to see properties very fast. And after we got the property, Todd helped us find a great tenant. Todd is the point person, he didn?t delegate us to an assistant. He took care of all the details: looking for the properties, getting us in touch with a great lender, negotiating the deal, monitoring inspections, and all the other stuff that goes on when buying a property. We purchased a high end condo, and Todd even attended the orientation meeting so that he would be able to have more knowledge about the building when finding a tenant. We never felt pressured by Todd to buy something that wasn?t right for us, and we feel like he was always looking out for our best interest. We can?t recommend him highly enough!

Todd's familiarity with the neighborhood(s) and his swift follow-up, availability and support was incredible. His responsiveness to our questions and patience with us through the process was terrific. The loss of family forced the sale of these two family homes and it was a difficult time for my husband and I. Todd's support and guidance throughout was a huge comfort to the entire family.

I had an excellent experience working with Todd Jones in finding a condo in the LA area that perfectly fits the criteria I had established. Living 3,000 miles away and not knowing anyone in LA that I could ask, I was anxious about finding an agent I could trust and with whom I would enjoy working, one who would be responsive and patient. I sent an inquiry to three agents that I found on Angie's List. His reply was most helpful so I went with him. I am very glad I did. Todd is definitely the real thing. Not only was he a great real estate agent, Todd became a true friend for myself and my wife. He helped us during the entire process and was not only extremely helpful but extremely patient as well. Our home purchasing process involved multiple obstacles (no fault of his) that were less than ideal. Throughout it all, Todd was extremely patient and helpful and very knowledgeable. I sought the expertise of another real estate agent (through Angie's List) when my current buyers seemed unable to obtain their financing and close escrow. Todd was prompt to respond and though my hope was to close on the current transaction... he gave exactly the kind of input I needed for that situation. As he predicted... the sale eventually made it to the finish line.
I also needed to be prepared with a new agent if this deal were to fall through without a successful close. Though it was still possible that I wouldn't need Todd's services... he responded with a professional attention to detail that I really appreciated.
He remembered all the dates that would be important on my timeline for a successfully close... and he followed up each time to make sure that things were going ok; and to offer support, if needed.
I invited his input and was grateful for the help as I wasn't sure where to turn. I was concerned as to whether the buyers could ever get their loan... and concerned as well about whether the sales team I already had in place would be able to close the deal. Bottom line... if everything had fallen apart Todd already was already informed on the situation and was standing in the wings, if I needed to turn to a new agent.
Fortunately, loan docs were signed last Friday and we will close on Tues or Wed (after 92 days in escrow). I didn't need Todd to step in... but it was a tremendous reassurance to have found an agent who knew the ropes and was prepared and able to take the reigns if I decided that I needed his help.
No pressure... just availability... all in a context of competence. Good stuff.

My husband and I loved working with Todd, who was so patient as we tried to navigate our first home purchase in a crazy market. He gave us great advice and was always on top of things. Even when we gave up for a while (deciding we didn't belong in such a competitive market), Todd kept us in mind and would send listings here and there - but in a respectful and never pushy manner, which we greatly appreciated! And it paid off - two months ago we bought a great condo! Todd was fantastic during negotiations, even calling us from his European vacation to check in. We weren't even the seller's best offer, but he still managed to get us the place. Todd's expertise kept us calm during a stressful process and we'd recommend him to anyone!

First of all, this review is long-overdue given that Todd did such a fantastic job! My wife and I found Todd through Angieslist and decided to go with him because he was a real estate broker, which requires a bit more knowledge about the industry, instead of just a standard real estate agent. And Todd really did know his profession - the very first meeting was spent covering how the process worked from start to finish so we really would know what to expect. He was always very fast to respond to our phone calls, arranged our first meeting at his office on a Saturday, and happily drove us around to multiple properties. He's extremely friendly and charismatic, which makes it almost fun to go house shopping with him!
The (only) house that we ended up putting an offer on was an older home which would require quite a bit of updating, but was still livable. Todd guided us through the process of making the offer with ease. We found out that there were other higher offers already on the house, but gave us advice on how to get our offer accepted (by writing a friendly letter to the seller). It turned out to be excellent advice as our first and only offer was accepted over the other offers!
After the offer was accepted, he advised us on which inspections were ideal and which were superfluous. The only recommendation that he made that we didn't go with was for the general inspector. We had already chosen someone whom we felt was highly recommended, so we didn't use the inspector that Todd normally used. Once the inspections were made and we knew what we could negotiate with, he helped us with what we should or should not ask for credit for. It was helpful because the seller largely agreed with our list.
Closing the sale went just as smoothly. All of the paperwork was thoroughly explained as we were going through it. My wife works with legal documents for her job, so she asked a ton of questions about pretty much every nuance to make sure we knew exactly what we were signing, and Todd patiently answered all of our thousands of questions.
Throughout the entire process Todd was always ready and willing to help however he was needed. Even after the sale was completed, he's kept in contact with us and checked on the progress of the house and the updates we've been doing. I feel like we ended up working with a friend more than just another business transaction.
I very highly recommend Todd to anybody who's doing real estate!

I highly recommend Todd Jones as a realtor. We used him when looking to purchase our first home in Los Angeles. Todd is the consummate professional when it comes to real estate agents. He knows the market, is familiar with all pockets of Los Angeles, and will work tirelessly until you find the home of your dreams. We started out with a pretty low opinion of real estate agents?not having had all that great an experience with them in the past. Todd changed our minds. In looking for an agent to sell our house, we interviewed some that seemed impressive, but then we saw review after review of Todd in Angie?s List. He had years of stellar reviews?far more than anyone else.
He was always easy to reach--responding to any text or call right away. We never had to deal with an assistant or minion, we always reached him directly. He responded rapidly to all our questions, and we could always trust his answers. Clearly, the people at Rodeo Realty also think highly of him--they have him train their agents.
He also has a magic real estate agent?s camera lense. By this we mean to say that he brings a background in film production to his work in real estate and with that he brings strong aesthetic skills. When we saw the pictures he took of our house that he used for marketing, each of us thought, ?That place looks great! I wish we lived there.? I?m not trying to say that he distorted or misrepresented what our place looked like, it is just that he presented it in its very best light.
If you insist on getting a real estate agent of the demi-gods, you can choose someone else, but we can?t recommend Todd highly enough.

My wife and I have purchased and sold homes in the past in other areas. We just purchased a home in Toluca Lake and consider ourselves fortunate to have worked with Todd. He negotiated very well for us and thought of many things that would have never crossed our minds. We felt like he was always looking out for our best interest and wanted to protect us with the purchase of our home. Sometimes our schedules did not allow us to make it to an inspection, but Todd always made sure he was present so he could look out for us. As our real estate agent, Todd guided us through the complicated and stressful process of selling our home of 30+ years. Right from the beginning, he identified projects that would smooth the selling process. Then, even as those projects were underway, he identified possible buyers. As a result, we were able to sell the house before we had to finish paying for some of those projects and even before the house went on the market. We were very pleased to have this process completed so smoothly and so quickly.

Honestly, Todd was / is amazing. I found Todd on Angie's list and decided to give him a shot seeing as though my wife and I weren't happy with our current realtor. He literally put these other realtors to shame with his professionalism, availability, responsiveness, and over all quality of service. Along with the fact that Todd was always positive and is a genuinely nice guy, he was attentive to our wants and needs and helped guide us through the entire process of purchasing our home with the least amount of pain possible. He actively worked for us throughout the purchase process to insure that we were getting all issues with the property and with contracts taken care of quickly and efficiently. He was present for all aspects of the purchase and inspections to ensure the everything was done correctly. He has also checked in with us after the sale to make sure that everything is going good with the home. A level of personal service that is not really seen nowadays, especially in a city like Los Angeles. Purchasing or selling a home is a complicated, stressfull, time consuming process with lots of paperwork, deadlines, negotiating, etc. but Todd will walk you through everything. He was smart, easy going, fully present, and truly helpful... he made sense out of what seemed complicated.
