Stained Concrete Originals

Acid stained concrete needs to be resealed periodically. My concrete was stained over 10 years ago. I lost contact with the man who originally did the work so I called Balboa Brick for a recommendation because the concrete needed to be resealed. The. person whose name I was given assured me he was experienced and could do a great job. It was a disaster. He didn't turn the sprinklers of, he applied the sealer when it was over 80 degrees, etc. A picture is with a thousand words, I wish this site allowed me to post what the concrete looked like before Jeramy agreed to get involved - it was a nightmare. The concrete needed to be repaired, but I had no idea who to trust. My cousin suggested I try Angie's List. I did and if I had known to do that in the first place, the job would have been done perfectly the first time. Because of the ineptitude of the first sealer, a three day job turned into almost a 30 day job. The first person did such a horrible job that ultimately the sealer and minerals that had collected under the sealer because of the sprinklers had to be hand scraped. The repair was a labor intensive experience for Jeremy and his people. He didn't give up. Although it took longer than he originally anticipated, he did what it took to return the acid stain to it's original beauty. He resealed it with a sealer that does not become slippery when it is wet. We were so pleased we asked him to acid stain the fountain in the front, and acid stain and seal our driveway. The pictures of before and after are like night and day. Stained Concrete Originals and Jeremy Hapner are worth their weight in gold. I will be calling them again in a few years to reseal the concrete. I learned a valuable lesson - Angie's List is the first place I'll go when I need work done. Jeremy added value to the house by the work that he did and I am very appreciative of him and Angie's List!

Jeremy was a pleasure to work with. We met him 6 years ago when the building of our loft/condo was just completed and luckily kept his business card with us.  He worked on staining concrete on several of the units in the building including ours at the time.
     Once our renter moved out there was some damage caused by furniture to the stained concrete. Jeremy came in to inspect to see if it could be repaired. We had new renters coming in 2 weeks. We needed to get the work done as soon as possible. Jeremy was so helpful and willing to schedule repairs, re-stained repaired areas and new seal to entire floor the following week. He and his workers arrived on time, completed the work on time and tidied up as if they were never there. 
     His work is amazing. It is so unique and is truly art. We visited other lofts and no two lofts look alike. Each has its own color scheme that has a life of its own. The hues are gorgeous and work with a variety of modern decor. Ours had sunset orange mixed with a beautiful green shades. He takes great pride in his work and it really shows. Jeremy has a wonderful personality. He listened to our concerns, gave recommendations and advice on how to maintain and protect the stained concrete. We will definitely work with him for other stained concrete projects in the future.
