Everything went great. Fred came out, went over options and got back with a quote very quickly. Price seemed reasonable. Scheduled the install and cleaned everything up. Would not hesitate to use Square Cut again anytime.

Our experience with Square Cut Fencing was positive from the beginning. Fred came out to give us an estimate which we received, via email, describing the entire job including the materials he would be using and the treatments of the wood. He followed up with a phone call and, by then, we were ready to go.
Fred and his crew arrived on time, took the old fence down, hauled it away, and started by installing grade retainers due to the hilly nature of the property. Fred's bid was detailed and he kept to it. He and his crew worked tirelessly on that hot day and, as described, the project was completed in one day. Through it all, they were all very pleasant and answered our questions. It was a very long day for them but they finished it!
Fred is very professional, takes pride in his work and built us a beautiful cedar fence. He even went the extra mile to repair a neighbor's fence where it connected to our new one and he concerned himself with other little details. We would absolutely hire Fred again if we needed more fences and gates.

I didn't want my review to sound like all the other rave reviews that you have read here about Fred at Square Cut Fencing. But, the truth is, all the wonderful things that have been written about Fred and his work are completely accurate!
Yes, it's all true. He creatively designs your fence, prices it fairly, personally shows up with his crew to build it (he's a and quot;finish carpenterand quot; that builds fences!), and then, after it's all finished, he stands behind his work. What more could you ask for?
Well, there is one more little thing that I would like to mention. While Fred was busy working on my fence one day, I had to return a UHaul truck, and Fred asked how I was going to get back after dropping the truck off. I told him that I would probably walk. He thoughtfully offered to pick me up, but I politely declined because I didn't want him to have to pull himself away from my job to do something so menial. Well, I come out of the UHaul place after dropping the truck off, and what do you know, there's Fred pulling his work truck right up to the front door to give me a ride back!

Fred Farnham of Square Cut Fencing came by to help us prevent deer from jumping the fence and creating havoc in
the backyard. In the initial meeting he stated a new fence was not required. He stated that installing coyote rollers
would successfully keep the deer out. He ordered the parts and shortly returned to install. They look great, his work is
outstanding, his price was fair and the problem was solved. Mr. Farnham is a Professional who does first rate work.
If working with a highly skilled professional is what your looking for - Look no further. Square Cut Fencing is a class act and
they do great work at a fair price.

He was a really nice guy but we didn't want to spend that much money right now. His references seemed really good by the pictures he showed me. But we decided to postpone the project. I may consider them in the future.

Very good experience from quote to completion. Got the estimate around Sept. 5 and work started on Sept 19 and completed Sept 28. Fred fixed one last issue (gap where my cat could escape) on Oct. 2 at no charge. Fred was very communicative via email which was important to me. He showed a lot of genuine concern for the quality of the end product. He was very up front about any small delays. The workers cleaned up thoroughly each day. The front yard fence gets a lot of compliements from neighbors and people driving past! I would definitely recommend Square Cut Fencing and use them again.

The project went perfectly. There was no problem and he was always on time. He arrived when he said he would. He was very responsive and if you called him he would call you right back. It took one day for them to finish the work when another estimate that I got said it would take three and a half days. He did an excellent job and it couldn't have been any better.

Fred came out as scheduled and gave some ideas for a new fence with gate to be installed in my backyard. He came up with a solution that fit my needs and my desire for something aestheically pleasing. His price was fair and the work was of high quality and done on time. He built a beautiful redwood fence. Also, repaired/replaced part of an existing chain link fence in my side yard. Great guy to work with...he really knows his stuff!

Provided on site inspection for estimate. Provided full estimate by e-mail. Work was on time, within schedule and cost estimate. The work exceeded my expectations with respect to quality. I highly recommend the contractor. I was required to pay for steel materials prior to the start of work.

It went better than great. We are extremely picky people and have very high standards when it comes to our home. Square Cut and Fred exceeded our expectation and created a beautiful fence that now surrounds our property.

This was an AMAZING experience. Fred is one of very few contractors I *haven't* found through Angie's List, only because he wasn't on it at the time. I was a little anxious about strictly relying on the referrals on his website, but the quality seemed high enough that I took them to be real. ( : He ALWAYS showed up on time, from the estimate through several days of demolition, installation and staining -- even at 7:30 a.m. Fred asked all the right questions (including some I hadn't thought of) about materials, location of supports, elevation etc. etc. His bid was precise down to the number of type of nails, and included a drawing of precisely how the finished fence would look. I needed to get some drainage issues handled while the old fence was down, and Fred was very accommodating about coming back as soon as the other guys had finished. The completed work is immaculate -- he's a perfectionist, and I've never seen boards aligned so precisely. I couldn't recommend him more highly -- and I've dealt with a *LOT* of contractors over the years.
