They are polite, professional and prompt.  They communicated all the way through, handled the permits properly, and did a fantastic job.  They even went above and beyond by cleaning up broken glass under the house (purchased the house and not sure how it go there) and fixed a few other odds and ends they noticed around the house.  I was so happy with the job they did.

After shopping around for a vendor to address our drainage problems we selected Sinai. They appeared to be very knowledgeable about our drainage issue and provided a very reasonable proposal to address the problems

The problem required digging on the side and back of the garage. The only access to the back of the garage was through by neighbors property . I was therefore very concerned not only about the quality of the final job but the cleanliness during the project.

It took the team about 5 days . The team assigned was very professional. They had a good handle on what needed to be done and cleaned up thourougly after each day.

The final work was excellent and actually exceeded my expectations .

I would definitely recommend Sinai Construction.

The inspector arrived on time and spent a LONG time crawling around under the house taking lots of pictures, inspecting things, etc.  Took these back to the experts (his bosses) at Sinai and they provided an estimate and a full report in a timely fashion (within a couple of days).  This was very helpful as I was then able to request a credit from the seller on the transaction.

It went okay. The pricing is a bit high but if they get their pricing in order, I will use them again.

The estimate was very thorough and every question I asked I was provided an in depth explanation. Their bid came in higher then others, but I really appreciated them taking the time to explain why they recommended certain work vs. the other solutions. They also back up their work with a 25 yr warranty. Throughout the whole process EJ was very responsive over email and anything that came up a representative from the office would come to site to check on the work. The men doing the work were always on site before starting time and worked hard. Carlos was very easy to talk to and made it a comfortable situation considering it was three + weeks with them directly underneath your feet, our house on stilts and not much space to work with. They were all very nice guys. All the work passed inspection. Towards the end I think the pressure to finish was on and there were some hiccups in the quality of the finished project, but EJ took good care of us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction in the end. I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to get foundation work done.

The provider arrived on time as promised. He was professional and answered my questions as they arose. The report was detailed and included quality pictures of any damage. Their recommendations were included. After receiving the report, I had additional questions, they took the time to answer all of my questions.

We agreed to a start date, and the Sinai crew arrived promptly on that day. Most of the work was completed more than a day earlier than predicted.  Workers were polite and helpful.  The only minor problem encountered was the accidental disconnection of an old  phone line running through the crawl space.  This was very promptly repaired.  Clean up was thorough. The work generated more dust in our backyard then I expected, but this was easily taken care of.

I've just received photos of the repair work.  It looks very impressive to my untrained eye.  I don't think we could have had or expected a better experience.

I am selling my house and needed to fix the foundation as it was sagging in one of my rooms.  I contacted E.J. and he came to the house and explained the entire process.  He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and answered all of my questions and concerns.  I received the quote when they said I would and found the price to be reasonable.  They did not try to up sell me which I appreciated.  The crew was also professional and clean.  They cleaned up around the house daily, I had no problems.  The floor feels solid now and no longer squeaks!  I am very happy with the work performed and the experience with E.J. and his crew was very smooth and stress free.  I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs foundation work.

They were fabulous.  They spent 45 minutes under the house, documented with pictures, and were very thorough.   They were too much for us. It would be a great tool if you were in escrow and I would recommend them to anyone buying a house.

Sinai Construction exceeded my expectations on every level.
It all started one year ago when we purchased a home that was sliding down a hill.  We went into the deal knowing that there was major foundation work to be done.  The original foundation inspector (Chon Aragon) was extremely thorough and patient as he examined the house.  (Being new to this, we had also had other inspections/proposals from other highly rated Angie's List foundation specialists.) 
After Chon's thorough inspection he explained some fundamental concerns to us.  His initial inspection/evaluation set him apart from the rest.  Eventually we met with Gary Sinai, who came to meet us fully prepared, beyond what any of the other contractors did.  Gary is intelligent, practical, calm and confident - which is the combination of traits we needed going into such an unknown area. 
Gary was proactive throughout the process and his entire team of workers were most professional.  They explained the process, kept the work site very clean and impressed the city inspector on every level.  I communicated with the city inspector who told me that he is very familiar with Sinai Construction and knows the high level of integrity they possess. 
The foundation project for our hillside home and deck concluded and I never would have known about Sinai Construction if it wasn't for Angie's List.  My experience with Sinai Construction was the most positive experience I have had with any contractor and I hope my review will help other home owners, investors, etc. 

Sinai Construction was the first company we interviewed to do our foundation work.  After our initial meeting with Sinai, we looked into three or four other reputable companies.  Sinai was head-and-shoulders above the rest in terms of professionalism and service.  Gary Sinai, the founder and president, met with us personally and answered all of our questions patiently.  Because we are on a tight budget, Sinai worked with us to make sure we were doing only the work that was absolutely necessary.  Throughout the process, Gary Sinai and his team were very reasonable, responsible, and responsive.  We agreed on a timeline and budget in advance of the work and Sinai stuck to it without diverging.  Once they started the  work, they were out there every day from 8 am to 4:30 pm until the project was finished.  Also, even after they were paid-in-full, Sinai continued to be responsive and answer various questions I had about the work they did.  I am truly grateful to Gary Sinai and his team for providing us with the highest level of service and for giving us a thoroughly positive experience.

The Sinai Crew showed up on time each day. I went over their work schedule with the Job Foreman and went over my concerns and all proceeded well. We have a 60 some year old home and some of the wiring was disturbed during their work. We would let them know we had lost power to some wall plugs and the next day they were repaired. This was no fault of theirs and they were great about taking the time to fix any and all issues we had. 
Any mess that was created was cleaned up at the completion of the job. 
About a week after the completion, we received another email with the upgrade pictures and the signed final inspection.
Within a few weeks of this work, Los Angeles experienced two good sized earthquakes. Needless to say, we felt very secure knowing this work had been done!

When I first scheduled them to do the job I misunderstood what the scope of work was to be. It was totally my fault, but I was still concerned that what they had proposed would not fully solve my problem. After some brainstorming with George and the owner of the company, we came up with a solution that cost me a bit more, but we believed would adequately solve my problem. The work  was done in the time frame it was promised and the workers were courteous and professional. After the job was complete, both George and the owner reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied. I appreciated their concern and told them that, while I was happy up to this point, I wouldn't really know if what they did worked, until we had a good rain. The owner then contacted me and said he would come back out at no charge if I did have any more leaks. As a business owner myself I really appreciate accountability and Sinai Construction seems to understand that.

As far as the work went there were no issues.  The works were on time, professional, addressed any questions I had.
There were a few hiccups with paper work but nothing that was not responded to and addressed.

This was the second house that we had Sinai work on, of our 2-homes-on-one-lot property. About a year had passed since the initial estimate because we needed to save up money for the work. When we were ready, we contacted Gary and he was, as always, very responsive and patient. He sent one of his workers to come and inspect the foundation again to see if the scope of work had changed. It had not, thankfully.
Gary answered all of our questions regarding what sections needed to be replaced and assured me that the new foundation would have adequate venting. Another one of our concerns was making sure the water heater, which was located next to a section that needed work, remained on throughout the job. Gary promised that his crew could move the water heater out of the way temporarily but still keep it on for our tenants.
The crew started soon after and they were very professional. The site was left neat at the end of each day. I stopped by almost every morning to check in and the foreman, Juvencio, answered all my on-site questions. He explained the work that they were doing and kept me up to date on the progress. He also warned me about a few small plumbing leaks that needed to be addressed.
The entire job was completed in about one week plus a few additional days to re-do the stucco above the new foundation and receive the final inspection. The job passed city inspection with no issues.
For homeowners, your house held up on stilts with a big trench under it is a sight to be seen. I appreciate all the hard work that went into fixing our foundation and it has been a real learning experience. Sinai Construction may not be the cheapest, but they do quality work. Gary, the owner, is honest and makes sure the work is done right and to your satisfaction. He was also nice enough to help us out with partial financing, which we appreciated.
Now that the work is done, I can sleep better at night knowing that my investment is on SOLID FOOTING!

Gary came out and inspected the property. He gave us two estimates. One estimate was to raise the house to it's former position and the other was to keep it from sinking further. We opted for the second estimate. The men he sent out to do the work were very professional. They barely took a break all day long. The work took a few days to complete.

Most contractors over quote you and then under deliver, but not Sinai Construction.  The guys are real craftsmen and pay attention to details.  We had some estimates for earthquake retrofitting and also fixing some foundation issues and sagging floors.  Their price wasn?t the lowest, but it was fair.  What I was really pleased with was the quality of their work.  They worked on everything like it was their own house.
The retrofitting started on time and the crew works very well together.   They were quite fast putting in the mudsill UFP10 plates on the first floor.  2.5 days and our old house was securely bolted to the raised foundation.  While they were under the house, we had them brace up the floors and we also moved a drain pipe drilling through the foundation concrete wall.  They also did some cement work to patch up the foundation ? great custom work - very smooth, very clean.
Chris kept us informed and he also coordinated some follow-up with the guys coming over to fix up every last detail.  The stucco was repaired to match our existing design.  We had some custom modifications done to secure the access - very high quality work.  Everything we swept up and washed down each day.  So, we really didn?t have to do much clean up after them.  These are the most professional guys we have ever had work on our house.  And we have had quite a few contractors over working on our old house.  If you need foundation work or earthquake retrofitting - these are the guys you want to call.
