Exactly what we wanted. We had 4 large plantation shutters built for our master bedroom. Shutters and more did a fantastic job. The firm has both a showroom and adjacent factory in the SF Valley. Claude, the owner, measured our windows, custom ordered the shutters to our specifications, and had the product installed within six weeks. Installation was expert, and we LOVE the look and operation of the shutters.

I love this company. We first visited the showroom and Claude Sable, General Manager, invited to see their on-site work room. Everything is custom made and hand-finished with local labor. Very high quality craftsmanship and materials. They came out and measured and gave us a price, and the installation was done soon after. They took out the old blinds, willingly moved some very heavy dressers, and did a beautiful job of fitting and installing the shutters. I am so happy we chose them.

We went to the showroom and we were greeted by Claude which is the General Manager. He allowed us to visit the factory and we were impressed by the quality of the workers. Antonio was the installer and showed up right on time. Very professional. We chose this company , because is local and the products are made in Chatsworth were we lived . From start to finish everyone was very professional and approachable. They also were patient with us as we had to coordinate window installation and painting along with shutter/blind installation. Claude helped us out with the estimate and ordering. (We even got a tour of their factory/warehouse.) Dave and Claude both came out to make sure all the measurements and final ordering decisions were accurate. And Antonio did an extremely efficient job on the actual installation. Would definitely consider this company again.

I could not be more pleased with the results. The shutters look fabulous and the house looks so much better with them. The price was quite reasonable, and I appreciated your flexibility in accommodating my schedule, as well!

Great, the product is very high quality and the installation was very simple. These guys were pricier than the other bids I got but they had I felt, the nicest looking product. They also allowed me to modify the shutters to my liking - I don't like the visible pulls and I also wanted to be able to split the rails so that I could have privacy but yet light also.

Very professional and punctual.  Claude was more than happy to tour me thru their shop.  They actually make their own shutters next to their showroom.  This allows them to fabricate custom shutters as needed or better yet, if a customer is really picky and time to kill, one can actually watch their team build your shutters.

My project went on schedule, with a minor hiccup.   3 weeks after the measure the shutters arrived and delivered by their own installer.  The installer was not happy with the fit and recommended that it gets sent back to the shop.  The shutter frame was shallow that its a little bit rubbing against the vinyl frame of the window.  it works but the installer prefers that it could be better.  Im actually happy that he pointed this out himself rather than me finding out later.  This shows this team knows what it takes to keep their excellent reputation.   Their shop made the appropriate adjustments and the install took place 1 week after.   Same installer person came, so he knows what was done prior and what to look for.

The shutters looks great and relayed this Claude and Dave.  I'll definitely keep this company handy for any future shutter needs or referrals. 

Barry provided excellent, personalized service. He measured all windows and provided options and recommendations for shutters and blinds. Everything was installed on schedule by Antonio, his installer. I am extremely happy with my beautiful windows treatments. I would highly recommend Barry and Shutters and More.

I've had Shutters and More install shutters and closet doors in 2 rooms in the last 5 years.  Recently, a magnet that held a shutter in place had broken.  I e-mailed Barry Sable about where I might purchase a replacement.  Barry sent me 4 replacements for the broken part gratis.  I only needed one.  When a business deems it necessary to take care of a former customer long after the job has been completed, shows a concern for customer care that is exemplary and one that deserves your patronage.  Thank you, Barry.

I worked with both Barry and Dave, and from my experience it is very obvious they care about taking care of their customers and ensuring you are satisfied. I obtained a couple quotes and though they were not the cheapest, they were very reasonably priced and I believe quoted the best value for the money (excellent product at a very good price). They were patient with me as I am pretty meticulous about the specific style and custom color of my shutters. I really liked that they are able to custom match paint colors and this was a big selling point for me -- it helped assure me that these truly are custom made and not a pre-fab product coming in from china.

These shutters are greatc standard is brilliant. They're not the cheapest but the quality is worth it and Barry and team are absolutely reliable. Wouldnt bother going anywhere else.

Excellent. Barry was prompt, friendly, and the shutters look beautiful and have made our new house feel so much more like a home. He delivered and installed the shutters on the exact day he mentioned at our initial appointment and his workmen were courteous and quick. We would use Shutters and More again in a heartbeat, except we probably won't have to since everything was so well done.

My experience with Shutters and More started with an initial consultation with the owner, Barry. He arrived on-time, measured all my windows, showed me samples of their product, explained all the benefits and characteristics of their custom shutters, answered all of my questions, and left me with a price quote (which included a 10% for being an Angie?s List member).  
I met with a couple of other shutter companies as well, but I by far had the best feeling about Barry and their price quote was also the lowest.  We were just starting a remodel on the home we'd just purchased, so I knew I wouldn't be ready to order the shutters for another month or more, but Barry patiently waited and followed up with me once to find out if I was still considering shutters (but didn't continually pester or call me, just wanted to check in).  During that time, my husband and I were also able to visit their show room so that we could see their product in person (my husband wasn't at the initial meeting when Barry brought samples), and choose a trim that very closely matched the crown moulding we were installing in our house.  Barry even told me what the
model number of the trim we selected was and where to purchase it, so that our contractor could put the exact same moulding around our French Doors.
When I placed the order, Dave (the production manager) followed up with me for an installation date and paint color.  They use a different brand of paint than my contractor was using for our trim, so Dave just had me dip a paint stick into our paint color and leave it on our front stoop - and he came by to pick it up himself to save me a trip and make sure that our windows would perfectly match
the trim and doors throughout our house.  Talk about customer service!
On installation day, I was surprised to see only 1 guy show up, but he was able to install all 11 shutters by himself in about 3 1/2 hours.  All of Barry's measurements must have been perfect because every one went up without any re-sizing needed. When the installer was just finishing up, Barry came by to check out the work and see if I had any questions or concerns.  
I've only had the shutters for a week, but so far I am veryhappy with the quality and look.  Even with the remodel, our house didn't
look complete until these went up - now I love our new house and it feels like home!  I was also glad that they were very careful when installing the shutters not to bang on walls or floors.  With fresh paint everywhere and a remodel just ended, I was nervous about careless work, but the installer was very respectful and careful with our property.

From start to finish, Shutters and More was professional in their approach and workmanship! The owners are wonderful people and the men who carry put the work are superb! We were so happy with their quality we has them put blinds up in our other property, and we did not hesitate to use them again. Overall, just a great experience from start to finish.

I did the work in three stages and he did one lot at a time  He made the shutters with the frame that goes around the window so its finished off really nicely. I thought that was unique.  He did the work with no problems and the quality of the work was great. He did some make some minor repairs but resolved the issues immediately. His service was excellent.   He was tidy, efficient, and cleaned up well. It was like he was not here. If I ever needed to reschedule it was perfectly fine.  I told him I received a cheaper quote and he matched the price. I thought it was a  good value in the end.

Barry came to our house for our initial estimate and spent a great deal of time discussing various options for our window treatments.  We knew we wanted plantation shutters, but didn't know the louver sizes or color options.  He walked through both with us and showed us real examples so that we could better understand how the end result would appear.  He also provided great recommendations as to color choices.  We were working under a tight deadline and he met our expectations.  He and his team did the installation over the course of one day and when a particular set of shutters did not fit to his satisfaction, he took them away and had a new set delivered the following week, without any hassle or issues.  His team came out to do additional touch ups in a timely manner.  

Will use Barry again in a heartbeat.

The service was terrific! They completed the work on time, they were very professional, and clean. The quality of the shutters is great and I am really impressed.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my shutters! They are a beautiful, quality addition to my recently remodeled great room. Barry could not have been more helpful, thorough, and professional. His installer was clean and professional, and in every case, they were very prompt and courteous. And have I mentioned that I LOVE my shutters? My installation was partially delayed, first because there was a mix up with my contractor on what the finished size of the window would be. Barry had come for measurements before my construction was complete, and then in the interim my contractor made an adjustment that wasn't anticipated. They remade the shutters for that window without any questions. Second, the installer brought to my attention that one of the shutters had sustained a small scratch, and he wouldn't install it, but rather it took it back to be refinished. I can't even begin to tell you just how refreshing it is to have a company take such pride in their product that they would refuse to leave me with an item that was less than perfect (especially after dealing for weeks with my contractor, who glosses over little details, or worse, tries to get away with them until I bring them to his attention). We did quite a lot of shopping around for shutters, and we had several companies make bids. Notably, we had gone to Costco, figuring they'd have the best price. Surprisingly, they were not even in the same ballpark for price, and I also didn't care for their materials. Shutters and More was not the cheapest bid I got, but the quality of their product led me to select them as the best value. I'm so glad I did - I LOVE my shutters! That was before I knew personally of their excellent standards for workmanship and customer service, though I had read all the highly favorable reviews on Angie's List before calling them out. I cannot recommend them highly enough!! Once my pocketbook recovers from all the work we've had done, I will definitely be calling them back for shutters on windows in other rooms. And, guess what... I LOVE my shutters!
