Ralph has done a number of jobs for me over the past 10 years and all have gone very well. He knows his stuff and has excellent workmanship. And he's very polite and professional.

Ralph was very responsive and kind, he gave me a range estimate over the phone, explaining all the details of what the job entailed. He was able to come over in less than 24 hours, looked at the issue with the gas line, explained in details what it needed to be done and did a wonderful job in less than 2 hours. The price was exactly what he said it would be, no surprises or extra fees. He and his assistant were super nice and cleaned up everything after themselves. I’m really pleased by his work and I’m glad to have found a reliable plumber that I can call anytime needed.

Repairs were made, but a bit later the toilet leaked again. It was past the the warranty period so I called a different plumber. It appears the gasket that my toilet uses rather than a wax ring was not seated properly. I have had no further issues since this second repair.

Excellent. He owns the company, been doing it for 35 years – well spoken, his intelligence shows in his eyes, no attitude (like customers are dumb), takes care in his appearance, drives a clean, professional truck, answered the phone himself, arrived within a couple of hours right on time – and didn’t assign it to some young guy who doesn’t really know what he’s doing. I mean - the OWNER answered the phone and did the work! What's this world coming to? And best of all, the sink not only drains quickly, it gurgles - we've never heard it gurgle, ever - and makes a little whirlpool. Beautiful sight and sound. We promise to never use Drano again - did you know Drano CREATES sludge? So what - you need Drano for your Drano? Crazy. Thanks Ralph!

I was told someone would be there in an hour and - in fact - they were there in less than an hour. Two nice guys and they set right to work in the hot sun. They diagnosed the problem and solved it very quickly, considering we had to get the water company to turn off the water to the entire property. They were very clear and thorough in explaining what had happened and what would need to be done. There is still more work to do and they suggested it could be done more cheaply by a gardener who works with sprinkler systems - which you have to admit is unusual. We may have them replace the valves that are needed, even at a higher price, but in any case will certainly call them again when there is another problem.

We had a leaking pipe for the outdoor watering - but it was right next to the house and water was leaking through the wall so it was urgent!

Ralph Gonzalez is the ultimate professional who has 35 years experience in the business. We were pretty desperate and felt fortunate he was able to arrive within 2 hours. He adjusted his schedule the next day to be able to find the parts and finish the job. While this work was a surprise we felt very fortunate for the gas company inspection and Ralph's knowledge and expertise. While the cost was a bit staggering, I beleive it was a fair number given the hours involved and the problems solved.

The Gas Company had shut off our service due to a suspected serious leak under the house. RSG Plumbing over a day and a half, 1)checked everything under the house,. 2) found a corroded 1.5 inch gas black pipe that was leaking gas (a leaking toilet had dripped on the pipe over time. 3) found smaller valve leaks and a couple of dangerous conditions like dryer vent kinks and clogging, 4) repaired the smaller issues and replaced 21 feet of the black pipe with flex pipe (extremely expensive stuff) that could be put in and routed around issues., 5) retested system. The Gas Company returned and were satisfied. Our gas service was restored within 36 hours.

He was on time and checked out the problem and he seemed honest and reliable and it turned out he was. He came to do the job when he said he would and went above and beyond the call of duty to get the work done quickly and well. I would use him again and was very happy with the work.

We had called two other companies the night before to try and get our broken water heater replaced. I finally reached one this morning at 7am but they couldn't come until tomorrow "between 9 and 2". We decided to take another look at the Angie's List search and called this local plumber - who came out within an hour, gave us a quote and said he could the job today - and then was back within an hour with the water heater. Ours was in a difficult to reach spot but they got the old one out, the new one in without much trouble. They even gave me a little discount for paying by check. Will definitely use them again.

Ralph and RSG Plumbing & Heating has provided plumbing and heating services to my family's rental properties, to my home, to my sister's home and to my father's home for many, many years. He always provides excellent service in all of his capacities. He has also assisted us in many, many emergency plumbing and heating situations. He is trustworthy and his prices are great. My father needed his toilets replaced, so, today, Ralph traveled over an hour to do the job without hesitation. There is no one like Ralph and his crew!

All in all, I'm happy with the work that Ralph did for me. He visited the day after I called him to inspect the job and bid on it. He had the lowest price bid, estimating $3,500 to $3,800, so I called him and made an appointment for him to come and start the work. Come 9:30am on the day he was supposed to show up, he wasn't there, so I called him. He admitted he had forgotten that he had scheduled my job for that day, and we arranged another day, 4 days after, for him to start. Once he started, his work was excellent, and took two days as he estimated. He was able to restore my ability to use the plumbing overnight, between the two work days, which was nice. In the end, the price was slightly higher than his high bid, because I asked him to reinstall a toilet while he was there.

Ralph quickly ascertained that our neighborhood in the hills has lower PSI than homes below us. He suggested that I replace my Delta faucets to see if water flow improves and to let him know if does not. Our area pressure may require an additional regulator on our main line. He then snaked out blockage. Because of his ratings on Angie's List and as an Eagle Rock business owner we selected RSG a year ago to do some work for my mother-in-law in Pasadena. She was very satisfied with his work then as I am with him today. He made some honest, lower cost recommendations for me to pursue first to see if it addresses my problem. We're in need of a new family plumber since our old plumber moved out of the area last year I think we've found someone.

I discovered a leak under the kitchen sink and called this company. My call was answered right away. Ralph was courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. Both he and Sam worked carefully and stayed on task until the job was done. They were careful to protect our floors and to clean up afterward. I will definitely use them again.

Prompt, responsive, and professional. Ralph was up front about the job and the potential cost changes depending on what happens when he starts the job. He did an amazing job, even after having to dig a trench in the front yard, you'd never know it after he finished the work. Our water pressure is now improves and water heater is to code. Very happy to have a reliable and honest plumber close by in our neighborhood!

Ralph was punctual, professional, and on budget with his estimate -- with only a minor uptick in the cost because he found a developing blockage in one of the pipes, which he was able to resolve. Ralph was also willing to work with us to resolve some scheduling difficulties in order to address this problem quickly. Most importantly, found Ralph to be a good communicator who was able to clearly explain the issues with our system and the scope of the work. We would definitely call on him again.

The main pipe conducting waste water from our upstairs developed a leak and flooded our crawlspace, leaving two inches of water. Ralph and Sam excavated and replaced the pipe's cast iron fitting, installed a new pipe and brought several items in the system which had not been installed to code to proper specs.

I called Ralph, owner of RSG Plumbing, on a Saturday afternoon after I noticed I had no hot water. I went to check the pilot on my water heater and noticed the water line leading into the water heater had sprung a leak. I called Ralph and he showed up at my home an hour later. He was very personable and very professional. He replaced my leaky pipe and valve without incident. His rates were reasonable. I will definitely be using him again in the future and recommending him to my neighbor.

He and Sam cleaned up the mess, ordered new parts for the flooded air conditioner ducts and even fixed an unrelated problem with the water heater. They installed a new toilet handle and then returned the next day with the new parts for the air ducts. Each part of the procedure came with a careful and detailed explanation and they were courteous, clean and efficient. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and will never use another company for my plumbing, air con and heating needs! Thank you Ralph!

We had a problem with an overflowing toilet on the day after xmas, a saturday - the water had flowed down an air duct and created all kinds of problems. Ralph and Sam were the own plumbers who responded to our calls for an emergency plumbing visit and they came just 45 minutes after I contacted them on a very busy day. Ralph figured out what had happened quickly and knew why there was water in the downstairs closet.

Woke up one morning to find my water heater leaking quite a bit of water. Called up a few plumbers that I found from Angie's List but none were available to come over right away until I got a hold of Ralph. Ralph came over when he said he would and was very professional and courteous. He noticed that the water heater was tilting to the side and was a fire hazard. I could have just replaced the leaking pipe but I knew that the water heater did need to be replaced soon. Ralph gave me the option and did not try to upsell me on anything. In fact, I was the one who brought up the topic of a tankless water heater which I knew to be much more expensive. I decided to go that route and Ralph was able to fit me in the next day. Ralph and his assistant Sam, came over the next day and it took the whole day to install the tankless water heater. They did a great job and cleaned up after the job was completed. While Ralph was under the house he noticed that my drain pipes were all installed incorrectly (that's what I get for going with the lowest bid). One section had fallen down completely and was leaking. I've already arranged with Ralph to get this fixed as well. Thanks Ralph and Sam!

First let me say I've work with various plumbers. RSG by far has been the most pleasant experience. If you only read this paragraph, Ralph I extremely professional, thoughtful and honest. I recommend at least just calling him. He's very informative even over the phone. I had a plumbing emergency over the weekend. The kind where the house smells. The main sewer line leading from the house was clogged forcing sludge, waste, and poop to overflow out and open clean-out pipe and form a puddle of unmentionables under the house. We couldn't use the toilets, the showers, or sink because it would just add to the puddle. I called him on a Sunday expecting a machine. Ralph answered and started to walk me through my options. We scheduled for Monday at 10am which he promptly kept. The cheapest option was to run a small snake from the kitchen all the way past the mainline, roughly 150ft. But that would be like a bandaid for a bullet wound. For just $50 more, he would make an access hole to the main line and the puddle, and then run the large diameter snake all the way to the street. Less than 24hr later, I'm now able to use the restrooms again. On top of that, he gave me a $20 Angie's list discount. What's going to keep me calling Ralph as opposed to the other plumbers I've used are the following: - Friendly and honest - Reasonable prices - Prompt service - Careful and respectful: I have a garden in the front that he was extremely careful of not damaging with his equipment. On top of that, he was very thorough in cleaning up. He even got a rag out to scrub some of the sludge that had splashed onto the outside of the house. - Great communication

RSG Plumbing arrived within minutes of when they quoted me for the approximate arrival - they went to work straight away, took care of clearing out our drain on the back half of the house - finished promptly, cleaned up after themselves, and did an overall great job. Drain is cleared out, washing machine and dishwasher now running:) We are happy, overall, with the service they provided. NIce guys to boot!
