RestorationSOS

I called SOS restoration because the village's sewer backed up into my basement.  SOS then had City Wide Restoration call me, I told them that I just had a transplant and needed it done so that I don't get sick.  They came right away.  They first quoted me $5000.00 (with a $2000.00 deposit) to complete the basement.  They ripped out everything and started to dry out the basement.  Everything changed when "Bob" heard that my insurance company was giving me a check for $10000.00 (for restoration and items lost). They then said that the project manager had misquoted the job and was fired, and now it would cost me $15000.00 to complete.  But if I gave then the entire check that they would cut me a break and complete the job.  When I handed over the check, that was the last I heard from them.  My basement was not completed.  I then had to hire an electrician to redo the outlets that they ripped out and then said that they were not qualified to do electrical work.  The shelving that they ripped out is still not replaced.  So in the end I am out of $14000.00 after all is said and done.  I have learned my lesson that even the most referred companies can scam you.
