If you are planning to use this company, I strongly suggest you read this review in its entirety. I’ll start and end with the obvious: The people I dealt with at Precise Air Systems were incompetent, inept and untruthful! Before calling COSTCO, I had two other AC vendors to my home for quotes. All the vendors quoted Lennox equipment. In order to compare apples to apples I got quotes from each vendor on 3 ton/14 seer (with and without variable speed air handler options), and 3 ton 16 seer systems (only with variable speed option upgrade). The two non-Costco VENDORS came up with a price within a few hundred dollars of each other. For the variable speed option, the additional cost was between $500 - $875. After receiving quotes from the other vendors, I had the Costco vendor provide quotes. In order to compare apples to apples, I asked them to quote 3 ton, 14 and 16 seer systems (with and without variable speed air handler). On the 16 seer, their BASE prices (before the 15% shop card) were WELL ABOVE ALL OTHER VENDOR’S. Once they applied the 15% shop card discount, their prices were still the highest (but only by a bit). On the 14 seer, they provided a quote without the variable speed only. The price was again, way higher, but when the 10% discount was applied, they were in line with the others. HOWEVER, their price on the upgrade for the 14seer WITH variable speed was a FULL $2300 higher compared to other vendors who charged $500 - $875 for the same upgrade. In fact, with this upgrade, the 14 seer variable speed unit was MORE expensive than the 16 seer variable speed unit. As they are binded to Costco’s fair price guarantee (according to Ryan, the salesman), I asked them to confirm in writing. When I asked the sales person if 16 seer was overkill for my unit, his response was, ‘probably’. Given the pricing, I of course went with the 16 seer, variable speed unit. I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN THE 14s UNIT (at a savings of over $2000) IF GIVEN AN HONEST UPGRADE COST. Since the upgrade cost put the price of the 14 seer variable speed unit above the 16 seer variable speed unit, of course I went with 16S. When I pushed the owner further, and told him what his competitors charged for the same upgrade, he said “different companies have different pricing strategies”. The sales person addressed my questions with a text telling me “just pick”. Clearly, their strategy was to push the higher end unit by overpricing the 14 seer unit with upgrades. Come to your own conclusions here… A few points to take away on their pricing: After applying the shop card discounts, the Costco vendor was competitive/in line with the other vendor’s pricing (except, of course for the 14see variable speed unit which was WAY MORE). My point is that it appears the Costco vendor hiked their price so that they were in line with the others only AFTER THE SHOP CARD DISCOUNT, meaning there was NO discount at all. I wish I would have gotten a quote from them before they knew they were a Costco referral! Knowing I had been dealt with unethically on pricing, I would have backed out then, but by the time I actually got a price on the 14 VS unit, they had already ripped out my functioning unit. They were not the best price, even after the discounts! At the end of the day, I selected Precise, the Costco referred vendor because: - They are associated with Costco and therefore (I felt), thoroughly vetted. - They claimed their quoting system used the AHRI Lab database ([*** Link removed ***] to pair ONLY the most efficient units (with certificates from AHRI). Sadly, and to their own admission, it turns out their quoting system spat out complete garbage!!!!I When I went out to the truck before they unloaded, to make sure the equipment being unloaded was the same on the quote, it was NOT. I later figured out that the quote paired a 2.5ton air handler with a 3 ton condenser. Ryan insisted that we spoke about the 2.5 pairing with the three ton but we DID NOT. He insisted that his backend database reference the AHRI database to ONLY recommend the most efficient unit pairing, but later blamed the database for the wrong pairing! The installers came with the 3 ton (the correct pairing) and said there is NO WAY to pair 2.5 with a 3! When Ryan stopped arguing, and spoke with the tech, he called back and said it was a system error and that the AHRI database was wrong! So much for their quoting system! They assured me that they stood behind the pairing and we went forward with the 3 ton system units as delivered (but not quoted), because they had ripped out my functioning unit and I had signed a contract. Clearly, we were off to a bad start! But, it only got worse! They brought a unit from their van that was badly marred and scratched. One scratch was so deep, it almost was a hole (see pics). Upon inspection, I told them they WOULD NOT put that unit into my home! The tech lead actually yelled at me, saying the scratches were cosmetic only and made no difference to the functioning. I got on the phone with Costco who dealt with Precise. A new, unmarred unit came shortly after. How could it get worse? IT DID!!! They brought the unit into my home only to discover the unit didn’t fit in the closet AFTER THEY HAD COMPLETELY REMOVED MY FUNCTIONING UNIT! NO ONE HAD BOTHERED TO MEASURE THE CLOSET! I have NO functioning AC in a week of heat from **** and the unit I purchased doesn’t fit (not even close). The next day the owner came to discuss options. He claimed NO unit would fit in the closet. So, after two days, they determined they needed to put it in sideways and create an ADDITIONAL access door!!! Needless to say, the 1 day install promised by the sales person (the tech lead said two days), now ended up being a 5 day install with major construction! Five days later, I had a functioning system that whistled and gurgled! They came the next workday and addressed the whistling by applying metal taping around the joint of the air handler. While I resisted (why should a non functioning manufacturer's seal be covered in tape), a tech rep from Lennox assured me this was the right thing to do. Why the step was overlooked during the install is beyond me? They reconfigured some of the piping they installed to address the gurgling noise (which they claim was due to units on upper floors). When they took out my existing unit, they didn’t understand the configuration they needed to recreate to address the gurgling. 2 days later… a quiet unit. I got the Costco Lennox rep involved during the install debacle and they were supposed to send an independent Lennox tech on the final walkthrough. He was supposed to be on site, but, sadly, was only available by phone. I would still like to have a Lennox rep review the install. During the additional time, they also addressed malfunctioning closet doors (measurement did not take into account inside handle) and the new access door didn’t open and close properly (required additional latch). The latch still doesn’t function, but can be opened from the interior via the original access door. Now I am waiting for a light switch plate (it was taken down, but not replaced) that was misplaced and the correct filter. During the install, they put came with a MERV 13, when I purchased a 16. I course, I saw it was the wrong filter as they carried it in! I sincerely doubt they would have said anything if I didn’t catch the error. I want to also add that at the time of the contract signing, my neighbor was also going to purchase and install the same unit. They were told they would be installed on the SAME day with a separate crew. That crew didn’t show, but they did come with the wrong unit (a 14 seer!!!!). It actually turned out for the best, because when my neighbors heard of the debacle with my install, they backed out (although I hear that Precise gave them a hard time about it). Given they had screwed up their quote too (same error with 2.5 ton pairing), and also didn’t take closet measurements, they were able to get out of their contract. As a final note, during the install, fire alarms went off half a dozen times due to welding smoke. When I asked them to pro

I hired these guys thru Costco to replace an old (15+ yr?) attic furnace, AC evaporator, and AC condensor (box on the roof), enlarge the air intake, and modify two shared-wall ducts into four in-room ducts. I had this quoted by another vendor who came in at nearly twice the price. The guys showed up on time and were hands down the most professional working crew I've ever seen. It was a swarm of 5 guys working at full tilt all day, no chit-chat, almost a mental telepathy level of communication, each guy doing his part at full speed. The job was to take 1-2 days, and it took 1 day + 1 hour. They had their own crane, so that wasn't some extra thing either. The new furnace is awesome. The mounting job they did is a class act. The duct work is very good (not perfect, some gaps). And it goes without saying the new unit works way better than the old. I'd hire these guys again in a second.

We got an estimate from Precise Air back in March. Gregg C came out and measured the space, looked in our attic and gave us recommendations for a ducted mini split system from Mitsubishi. We got quotes for a ducted system upstairs and a ductless floor-mounted one for the downstairs office. He said that it was the only option for the downstairs. I hated the look of the ductless but agreed since the unit would be hidden behind a sofa. He sent us an estimate and it took about 8 days for him to return my emails because their office server was down. After some back and forth we agreed on a price of $16,500. The other estimates we got fell in between 14-18,000 so Precise Air was right in the middle. The crew was prompt every morning. Gregg arrived the first day to direct the crew. After he left we encountered the first issue with the foreman whose English was not fluent. The floor-mounted unit is supposed to sit on the floor but because of where the floor on the other side of the wall was, he wanted to mount it 14” off the ground-right in the middle of the wall and he wanted me to know this. I asked him if there was another way and he said “ You don’t have a choice.” First of all, I didn’t want to see the machine right when I walk into the office and secondly the floor-mounted unit is more expensive than a wall/ceiling mount. So I texted Gregg and he called the general manager Greg. Greg came over quite promptly in about 45 minutes and I explained the situation. I also showed him the crawl space behind the wall and he proposed that we put the unit in that space. Well that was a great solution that the original salesman hadn’t thought of. The next day we had another problem. The foreman told me that the return vent for the unit downstairs would be 12”x30”. That is huge for such a small space. I asked why it had to be so large. He said that it would have to be that big because the hole that he had to cut to get the unit behind the wall would have to be that big. I asked why he couldn’t just patch the hole and put in a more appropriately sized return. He said “I’m not a handyman.” I asked him to put in a smaller vent and just patch the hole. He told me to call the office if I wanted their handyman to come out. So again we called Gregg and then the other Greg came out to the job site and he said that they would take care of it. Other small things happened the following days that I had to call Greg for. Basically the crew tries to do things in the easiest way possible without trying to think of better solutions. Their English is poor so it’s hard trying to communicate with them so Greg had to come down everyday. Me as a consumer couldn’t relax. I didn’t feel like I was in good hands. I felt like I had to be on the watch constantly so the crew wouldn’t install or leave an eyesore. So finally the job was done and we were able to test it. It sucked. It could not handle days hotter than 84 degrees. On average on a 90 degree day, it would stay at 76 degrees in the house even though he had it set to 70. Gregg said a technician would come by and he didn’t tell us much. A few days later another technician came by and told us that the outside air compressor was not sufficient. So a few days later they replace it with a higher powered one. Great I thought…now it should work well. Wrong. It still cannot handle hot days. If I have the unit on all day, it’s a little bit cooler in the house and even then on an 87 degree day, it will only be 76 degrees. If I start the unit at 1:00pm, it will just never get cooler than 78 in the house until way past evening. I emailed Greg the GM all the data that I had collected and complained to him. He told me that mini split systems will only cool the house 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature! I really don’t believe that. They install mini splits in the desert where it regularly goes above 100! And even with this standards, that would mean my house should still be 70 degrees on a 90 degree day. Anyways he said that they said that they would install a temperature sensor on the outside of my house and that they would tap into our wireless thermostat to monitor the indoor temperature. They want to see for themselves how terrible their system is. Today they were supposed to do that but Gregg came with the wrong hardware so again we wait. Did I mention that we installed the system in April? I’m waiting to see what happens and in the meantime sitting in an 85 degree house today while they figure out what to do. I will update the review if and when they fix the problem.

Perfectly! We selected this company through Costco. While going with Costco gave us peace of mind, in over 40 years of doing home improvements and repairs, we have never had a big job that went this well. Precise Air Systems exceeded our expectations, and we are fastidious customers and have tons of questions and requests when it comes to getting work done in our home. Precise Air Systems made this job effortless for us. All of the people we dealt with at the company were honest, efficient, knowledgeable, customer-focused, careful, and easy to do business with. Thanks to the expertise and conscientiousness of Jeff Payne, their sales representative, for the first time in over 20 years we have excellent heating and cooling throughout. Jeff sized our units properly. He knew what other installation changes (e.g. evaporation lines, venting, sealed supply grills) we needed. He is not only knowledgable, but was articulate when explaining the technical stuff in a way that was easy to understand. He kept us informed the entire time, and was there when the crew showed up to do the job. It's been a few months since they did the installation, and we're still delighted at how wonderful it all turned out. We enjoy having our house the right temperature for a change. We love the iComfort WIFI thermostat Jeff recommended. We use our phones all the time to adjust the system when we are driving home, or even just upstairs.
The installation crew was terrific too. They worked fast and efficiently and were very careful when doing work in the house (we have white rugs). The next day a technician came out to check everything again and showed us more about our new thermostat. They arranged the required HERS test and city building permit inspection, and both passed without any adjustments.
We highly recommend Precise Air and Costco without reservation for heating and air condition systems.

They were on time and precise! The price was good, we had compared it to other companies. Our sales rep Jeffrey, was really great and very helpful. He did his best to help us throughout the entire process. Everything went well! There were no glitches or anything with the installation and they were able to finish the job on time.

We had been looking to add a/c to our existing furnace. I got two bids similar in cost, when I met John Mattson from precises air systems. In all fairness our kids go to kindergarten together. As you can imagine, having him give us a bid carries risks; our kids will like be in school together for the next eight years, and if we don't choose his company, it could be awkward. If we choose his company and it doesn't go well, it could be awkward... For a long time. Well, it won't be awkward. John was the only sales person (of the three companies we got bids from), to come out and actually spend time with us, explaining in detail the difference in systems, He was the only salesperson to explain that we/they would need to move our furnaces out a bit to accommodate the drip pan for the a/c coil. He's the only one who recommended and included replacing all of our ducts. And then, because we had two furnaces, that were getting old, he was the only only to think of and suggest we consider taking the two old furnaces out, and replace with one, new, more efficient furnace, the we only need one a/c coil and one compressor instead of two of everything. He gave us three options, best, middle, and good. The price, comparing apples to apples with the other companies, was less by about 10%. We went ahead with Precise Air, not because of price but the experience John provided us. Moving on to the installation. Jeff was the lead technician. He couldn't have been nicer, more polite, diligent, communicative, and punctual. We were told it would take about 4 days, and it took 4 days. Then Scott, who programs and tests the system comes in and couldn't be nicer, polite efficient, professional. Because weren't here when he finished he had to come back, and show me how to create my account and load the app to my phone, s now I can control my system from anywhere using my I-phone. When we tested it, it didn't take more than 5 seconds or so for the system to turn on or off using my phone. Overall, a fantastic experience from beginning to end!!! I would recommend these guys all day long.

gas co had come out when I was having problem with burners on my central air furnace staying lit.
Said there could be a problem with my firebox being cracked, and may need to replace the whole unit, costing thousands of dollars.
Precise came out and looked, discovered there was nothing wrong except the burners were not aligned.
It only cost $129, instead of the thousands I was dreading
So refreshing to have honest, reliable, extremely competent technician and company.
Would highly recommend

The employees were very nice and the work was completed as promised. However, a few weeks later I needed to have my water heater replaced and the plumber, from a different company, told me that one of the vents used was not up to code. When I contacted Precise Air Systems I was told that how did I know they were telling me the truth and that the system was under warranty so Precise could take care of it. I chose to use the other company since my trust level was down. The air conditioning worked well but about a week ago when I put the heater on for the first time it didn't work. This was on a Sunday and the website says 24 hour service but no one answered my message or my email. I had to take a day off from work on Tuesday because there was a 4 hour window for the technician to come to my home. It seems that when they installed it they didn't hook up something correctly and, obviously, they never tested it (I was at work when the system was installed). I was not happy about having to take time off work for something that should have been done correctly the first time and I felt they should have come out on Sunday to fix it since it was their error. There was no apology.

John Mattson was the sale contact and stayed close through the entire process. Suggested upgrades all along the way which will save us money over the life of the system. Monitored the entire tear-out and new installation process. Patrick was the lead foreman and really knows his stuff. We were told years ago that we had a bad install by today's standards and Patrick demonstrated all of the fixes. He was amazing. He improved all of our vent runs with proper dampers, sizing, transitions and terminations. He worked closely with us to address the best solution for each rooms. Locating new registers for both supply and return and adjusting and/or replacing register grills for just the right flow.
You know when you are in the hands of an expert and Patrick is a "Superstar" in design, fabrication, running a crew, maximizing performance and making sure you get great value for your money.
John is still following up with us to fix a couple of small things that have only occurred because our system does not leak anymore and is delivering much more efficient heating and cooling.
I will use these guy in the future for any of my HVAC needs because they deliver great value at a fair price.

I contacted three contractors for bids to replace my heat pump system, which was 30+ years old and had broken down during a cold spell. Precise Air Systems was the contractor used in connection with the Lennox HVAC systems sold through Costco. I called Costco, who had a sales rep. from Precise Air call me back to schedule an on-site visit. The company sent Vigan Kachikian, who provided the estimate for a Lennox system that was 1/2 ton bigger than the old GE system that had broken down. The net price (taking into account a $700 rebate from Costco) was approximately the same as the bid given by another contractor for a comparable York system, and payment was handled through Costco. Installation took place about a week after I accepted the bid and took two days, and Vigan was responsive and professional throughout. He coordinated with the condo manager (my unit is a townhouse in a condominium complex), as required because of the work on the roof. My only reservation would be that the work included only a rough patch of the wall penetration (a rectangular hole about 7" x 12"), but this was disclosed as part of the bid.

Last November, it was apparent that the 25-rear old gas furnace serving our central heating system had finally given up the ghost. For the past couple of years, it had been dodgy – it took the striker multiple, agonizing attempts to get things fired up. And cold weather was imminent.
It was to Costco that we went shopping for a complete replacement of our heating and A/C. They offer Lennox systems, and it was a local distributor of that brand, Precise Air Systems, Inc., that ultimately contacted us and sent over an estimator, Vigan Kachikian, who is related to the owner.
Vigan knows his stuff. He provided a surprisingly reasonable estimate after a quick survey of our 1940-vintage house. The job required installation of the new furnace, new A/C condenser, new ductwork under the floor and in the attic, new ceiling vents, and a wall-mounted systems controller. His estimate was several thousand less than what I’d expected, but I’m pessimistic
by nature when it comes to such major home refurbishments; I have reason to be.
After we accepted the terms of the job, Vigan returned with his tape measure and sketch book to diagram each room’s measurements and the placement of ceiling vents.
Have I said that Vigan is REALLY good at what he does?
The job took three days. Considering the scope of the task, the 2-3 man installation team was impressively quick and competent. And they cleaned up completely afterwards. Of all the work crews that have improved or repaired our residence over the years – painters, pavers, kitchen remodelers, roofers, window and door installers, awning installers, flooring installers, landscapers, water and sewage line installers – the Precise Air guys rank among the very best in our experience.
And wouldn’t you know? Two days after the completion of the job in mid-December, the winter’s cold arrived. But we’re warm and snug.
Thank you Vigan and Precise Air!
Oh, and did I mention that, as part of the contract, we got a kickback from Costco in the form of a Costco Cash Card for roughly 10% of the installation cost? Sweet!
