I wasn't sure exactly what they did to be honest I know it cost a whole bunch. Its fixed and the problem hasn't come back. I couldn't move my car petty much. My car had to be towed there. That same day they fixed it, which was great.

It was extremely expensive. More then I wanted to pay. I found a place to do it at half the price so I feel like they are on the more expensive side.

I have been trusting my 2004 Subaru Forrester XT to Pinky's for annual maintenance and repair for over 5 years and am highly pleased by their professionalism, skills, honesty, good prices and commitment to customer service. Recently, as is normal for a car that age, I needed all the rubber parts replaced, including new tires, due to cracking & normal wear & tear, and they did the job quickly and excellently at much, much less cost that one would have paid to a dealer. That's why many think that Pinky's is the best auto shop in Los Angeles

They are really good. They have great customer service. They are very fair in pricing and don't do things that don't need to be done. They are on the ball. I've used them a bunch of times and I plan to use them again.

I called Pinkys on Monday 5/6/2013 to mkae an appointment for Friday
5/10/2013. I told the service manager that I had 2006 Hyundai Sonota
that need general maintnenace ( oil, fliter,etc.) and had the air bag
light on. I asked if Pinkys had the equipment to work on a Hyundai and
the service manager said yes of course. So I made an appointment for
Friday at 9:00 am. I got the car to Pinkys at 8:30 AM on Friday. As
typical I was told that I would be called with an estimate of the cost
to fix the car once a diagnosis was complete. Well at 12:30 I had not
yet received a call. Remember this was not a drive in I had a 9:00
appointment. I called at 12:30 and I was told that they had not gotten
to my car yet! I called again at 1:45 not expecting the car to be ready
but at least to have an estimate. I was told in no uncertain terms that I
was pushing them, that they still have not diagnosed the problem and
that If I were in such a hurry I should come and get my car. At this
time it was about 2:00pm. When I returned to Pinkys the service manager
accused me of being impatient and told me they weren't even certain if
they could get the parts for a Hyundai.
Well if you didn't know what
was wrong by 2:00pm finding parts was likely to be even more difficult!
So there you have it. Make your own conclusions. I won't return.

I was looking for a new mechanic in the Larchmont/Mid-Wilshire area because my old mechanic moved his business out of state. My son recommended Pinky's to me and I found them to be very professional and good-natured in the midst of a lot of work. My car was towed to their shop, worked on promptly and delivered as promised. I will definitely use them again.

They are excellent. They save me half off from the dealership cost.

While I received a fast response and service, I was quoted the replacement of a $500 part (can't find it selling online for MORE than $300), and when I called back and mentioned this, they claimed that they wouldn't work with anything but original manufacturer's parts. No discussion about less expensive options or the possibility of repairing the component, even though it was only having intermittent issues. No discussion, just and quot;This is how it isand quot;.

The fuel injector didn't fix the problem, so I brought it back. Now they claimed that the computer was faulty, bringing the estimated repairs to about $150o... at which point, I said 'heck with it' asked for my old parts back and left.TO THEIR CREDIT, they gave me a refund and sent me on my way. However, taken to another mechanic, the problem turned out to be a slightly faulty fuel pump, which cost 1/10th the repair cost that Pinky's wanted, and the car now runs fine.

Either management has some deal with local parts supplier to push more expensive repairs. Either that, or the mechanics are horribly incompetent. Either way, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The car had overheated and there was some kind of leak in the coolant system. This was after having gone through another mechanic four times in the previous month. They found another problem that had been going on for probably a year. They also checked some cracked hoses and replaced all that. The car has been fine since then. My husband has also taken his car to them. He really likes them. He thinks they are very honest and thorough.

Ralph and his partner (the owners) were terrific. They worked with me on the price, got the service done in a timely manner and were very professional. I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. Their staff were efficient and polite.

I was very satisfied with their service. They did an excellent job. They communicated well. The cost was reasonable. It wasn’t very expensive. It was around $3000. That was less than the dealer price for the same item.

Fast, professional service. My car has a transmission leak and Ralph explained my options without pressuring me to make the most expensive choice. His explanation was clear and thorough.

Went in to correct oil leak. They discovered another leak and repaired both. Very satisfactory.

At first I wasn't thrilled because they didn't touch the car the first day. However, on the second day they called in the morning and had everything done on the third day. This was particularly quick because the car needed a lot of maintenance and repairs -- I expected it to be there for about a week. They gave me a great deal on everything and even pulled out a large dent on the back panel at no charge. A synthetic oil change costs $75, which is very low on this side of town.

My Subaru's A/C was not as cold as it used to be; the front wheels wobbled whenever I applied the brakes; there was a tapping sound coming from the engine. I took the car to Pinky's and they asked me a lot of questions about the symptoms I reported in order to be sure they knew what I wanted. A couple of hours later, they phoned and discussed what they found. It seems the A/C compressor was making the tapping sound, and I had the choice of replacing it for an extra $500 or letting it go as-is. The mechanic who spoke to me said it would probably last another year or 2. This was a very refreshing attitude! He didn't try to sell me more parts and labor! A few hours after that, I picked up the car and they went over a list of what they did to make sure I understood all the charges. Based on past experience at a Subaru dealer, I was expecting to pay about $1,200 and was pleasantly surprised by the $482 bill they presented me with. They were courteous, informative and very professional.

Everything went well in the beginning. Ralph took the car the same day. He got me a drive home and drive me back once the car was fixed. But a couple of days afterwards, the air conditioning went bad again. I took it back to Pinky's. Ralph diagnosed it as having been given a problematic part when he repaired the air conditioner initially. He replaced the part, and charge me nothing extra for that. That is the kind of after-paying-service that I love!

They replaced my car's worn-out parts quickly and affordably in the time promised. I couldn't be happier.

Pinky's has a well known reputation around here and they live up to it. They performed the work for me at a reasonable price and I believe them to be very honest. I recommend Pinky's to anyone in my community.
