However, he also told us he could install our counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. The counter tops were nothing but a disaster. First, he told us he could build us an and source material big enough to have a solid slab covering it. We came home to discover they had installed a giant seam at the side of the island. Then, we had purchased our own slab of marble for over 2K for our master bath. Pete said we would most likely also have enough to install in our powder room and kids' bathroom. We told him if there was enough "left over" after the master, we would like to put the marble in the other bathrooms. I came home from work to discover that his installers had cut the marble for the two smaller bathrooms and then there wasn't enough to install in the master bath. Pete would not take responsibility, and told us "good luck" when we asked him to eat the cost of a new slab. BEWARE!
