Omar and his worker tore out the old tile and floor in our bathroom, they found out the had to replace some of the old plumbing this made the cost rise,but overall reasonable pricing. very professional work done,I highly recommend  Omar and his crew. Would hire them again.

Our driveway is over 1200 square feet and had poor drainage. We knew it would be a big job. We called three different contractors for bids. One contractor was extremely expensive (about $20 a square foot, not including correcting for drainage), one contractor was much cheaper ($9 a square foot, but he didn't keep any of our scheduled appointments to meet, so I can only imagine the headaches he would have caused), and Omar's bid was in the middle. I think his price was good based on the amount of work that needed to be done and when you have a difficult job, you want a professional who takes pride in their work and keeps their word which we feel Omar did. We asked for a 3 inch base and a sand finish (instead of broom) which added to the base cost.
Omar came everyday (throughout the day) to check on his crew (3-4 guys) and their work and made sure they cleaned up at the end of each day. He was always the one who did the measurements and calculations. Omar came on time, prepared a simple contract and a payment schedule so there was no confusion. There was a change order because a gas line ran right in front of the drain they were installing and Omar only charged for materials to move it (receipt provided). He also replaced our concrete steps from the driveway to our porch with out extra cost. Omar communicated well and provided options when there were questions that came up. He is very professional and seems to understand that his business is based on the quality of his work.
Omar's crew were also hard workers. They were polite and professional. They were clean and did not use any vulgar or inappropriate language which was important to us because we have very young children and don't want them exposed to the kind of talk that can happen on a job site. On the day actual concrete was poured, Omar had a team of 11 guys working as he directed and orchestrated the work, making sure things went the way they were supposed to.  Our neighbors were also impressed with Omar and his crew and the final product which turned out great. We would definitely recommend Omar and we will definitely call him again for other jobs to our home.

We had a cracked driveway, and the crack was letting water seep through into our foundation. It was creating a lot of problems with the wooden support beams underneath.  Our regular handyman attempted to repair it but soon realized the driveway was a lot tricker than we had first realized.  We're in the hills, and the driveway was suspended, supported by beams underneath but not resting on solid ground.  At that point, he said we needed to call a specialist in.
We met with a few driveway repair companies, but Omar was the only one who immediately realized that our driveway was supported in a unique way, and he knew how to fix it.  My handyman replaced the wooden beams, and then Omar and his crew came in, added a waterproof layer underneath, poured the concrete, and added a second waterproof layer on top. 
This was just completed so I'll be looking for leaks underneath once the rain comes, but so far I'm extremely pleased with his work and professionalism.  Already asking him to bid on some other projects we need done.

Omar and his team were outstanding!  I love my kitchen and quality of the work that Omar and his team provided. His communication throughout the project was wonderful. I would highly recommend this company.
What I really appreciated about working with Omar was that there was no drama.
 -He and his team show up when they say they are going to show up.
- He spends a lot of time up front making sure there us full alginment on the scope of the project and all the little details that most contractors don't discuss until you are deep into the project.
- I was 100% clear on what I needed to do and decisions I needed to make by a specific date in order to keep te project on time and on budget. (For example I wanted to pick my paint color, door knobs, tile, etc...).

Omar Rodriguez did an excellent job of repaving our patio and walkway. He and his assistant were very thorough and professional. The job took 3 1/2 days. Their estimate of the work came in a little higher than a similar bid we received, but I appreciated the fact that Omar was sensitive to the look of our 1920's house. He came prepared and showed me a booklet on what the job would look like completed. He offered to do other jobs around our home considering that he's a general contractor and since we were so pleased with the work, we asked him to do another small job at our house. My only complaint would be that he removed some heavy items from our patio and put them on our grass and now the grass is discolored, but hopefully it will grow back soon. We would definitely hire Omar to do work again.

I found O.R. Construction through Angie's List. Omar Ramirez, the owner, came out to give me an estimate for the work described above. I had already drawn up the plans and had the permit from the city of Glendale. I had also paid to have a surveyor come out and strike points so that the new wall could be precisely on the property line. Basically the job was set-up and shovel ready.
When Omar and I walked and talked the job it became obvious to me that Omar was over capable of handling the work. He foresaw any issues, knew what needed to be done to code, and understood what I was trying to achieve. He took a copy of my plans and promptly emailed me a written estimate for the work. I felt that the price was fair, and more importantly, it was based on the work to be done and not what he thought he could get out of me (I felt that way from all but one of the other bids I received). 
The job proceeded like clockwork and passed all inspections. In fact, the wall and steps were built beyond code with a higher PSI concrete for the footing and with all the details and care to make sure the work would last over 100 years. I attribute this to the fact that Omar actually DID the majority of the work himself with only 2 or 3 assistants. Not only did this make the project-cost very reasonable it also ensured that it was done with the care that only a company owner can have. The last part of the process was finishing the slab work to match the existing driveway and Omar executed this flawlessly. My wife and I were so happy with the results we asked him to quote other projects for our home before he was finished. I also felt compelled to take the time and show photographs of what was done to back-up my review. It's talented, honest, and fair guys like Omar the deserve what construction work there is in this recession. I recommend O.R. Construction without reservation.
