Nina Rumely Garden Design

Nina offered practical and cost-effective solutions to my needs.  She is a good listener and so can quickly pinpoint what a customer wants.  Her extensive experience allows her to suggest multiple options for each problem. I found her to be respectful of one's budget constraints while at the same time making one aware of the possibilities.  Nina definitely loves her work and will share all that she knows with you.  When contacting her, if you have to leave a message, know that she will get back to you as soon as possible, as she is very conscientious.  I consider her to be an invaluable resource, and I would not hesitate to use her services again.

I am still using her service and plan to do so for a long time. She is very thorough and detailed and looks at a variety of aspects frwhat can be done to make my patio a more enjoyable setting.
She came out and did a consult at a flat rate (and stayed longer than the hour I paid for).
I knew right away she was what I needed.
She is not into getting you to spend a lot of money but she is into quality and will give you sound advice.

There is no pressure from her and I have worked with her on my schedule at my pace with no problem.

Nina first came and did an assessment of my climbing roses, which were a mess. She gave an fairly tight approximate estimate of time and money and she said we had to wait until later in the season to do the pruning. She emailed me around that time and we set up a day for her to come when I would be home. She came and taught me how to prune the roses properly and we did all five plants together in an hour and a half or so. (I thought it would take all day.) But, once I realized what a great resource she was, we began discussing other aspects of my garden and she knew about virtually EVERY plant (some of which are not so common).
She is coming again soon to help me move some plants around and do a redesign of the open space. She even emailed me some ideas in pictures that she had up with.
Nina is enthusiastic, fun to be with, and very professional.

She has been working for me since 2004. My regular gardener that comes in every week doesn't have the expertise that she has. I haven't compared her prices. She is excellent. When she gets a little busy, it can be a few days before she comes out but if I have an emergency, she always responds. She is always on time.

I've worked with her for over ten years. She's extremely knowledgeable. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in horticulture. We work together to build a great organic garden, and she manages a crew to do all the work. She's happy with to do small projects, which is hard to find in LA.
