This was my worst experience with movers in a history of 16 moves in three different countries! In those many moves not a single item was lost or damaged. In this move, almost every piece of furniture was marred, gouged, chipped, or otherwise damaged; feet were missing; and glass was broken. Nearly half the boxes (all carefully labeled) were stacked upside down, even those with unmistakable and abundant "fragile" labels and "up" arrows. Our movers arrived 4 hours late. Too small a crew was assigned for the work involved, and a job approximated at 4.5 hours took 9 hours. They spent the first 5 hours wrapping furniture in plastic and tape—not in furniture blankets—and some was not wrapped at all. The truck was too small (so they crammed everything in) and it didn't have a lift gate to facilitate loading and unloading, prolonging the task. Before our belongings were transferred into our condo, the crew foreman demanded payment. We were never told we would have to pay on the day of the move. Not only did he refuse to give us an invoice, but he refused to unload our belongings until we paid in full. We had no choice. When we expressed our distress, the crew responded with hostility and increased haste—and a conspicuous lack of care unloading our possessions. We had to sign and initial perhaps half a dozen sheets of paperwork, but were refused any copies. The next business day we called the main number on the company's business card to find someone in charge. We were unable to connect with any administrative personnel, gaining the impression that this company is a loose collective of movers without an administrative core and leaving us at a loss about how to address fundamental business complaints. We were also refused copies of our paperwork. The spokesperson argued that providing the client anything in writing was not company policy. Our job was not assessed, scheduled, or executed professionally. A traumatic experience.

The move on 7/6/2018 and 12/28/2018 We are conducting an investigation and have pulled all the movers from both moves off the field. they will be suspended until this matter has been investigated.
