Over all the job took one day and they did a superb job. The concrete work looks great and is exactly what we asked for.

Miguel did a great job in removing my existing retaining wall (originally he was just to add and make it higher) and repave my concrete patio. When he saw the wall had no foundation, he highly recommended to "do it right" and it was agreed to remove the entire wall and build from scratch. He dug down to the appropriate depth for the foundation and began to build the wall (with cinder blocks). I was so impressed that he does not use heavy machinery/trucks to bring the blocks from his truck to the work site which was up 2 levels to the back yard, he brought them all (with his son and assistant) by hand. You don't see manual labor like this anymore. They dug out some existing hillside and tree stumps to extend the wall to the end of my property. We had agreed to continue more retaining wall to a lower part of the back yard. Once the walls were completed he removed the existing concrete patio floor and leveled it all and brought in the large cement truck to pour the concrete floor. 
He was always prompt and if he did run late he called to inform me of his delays. They worked from morning to night and they only took their standard lunch break and it was back to work. I highly recommend Miguel for concrete work as I have used his services twice already. He is very felxible with your budget and when I ran short of funds (towards the end) because the work did entail more than originally bargained, he was very understanding and accepted the remainder in payments. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Miguel. He's a great guy!!

He did an excellent job! He was very personable and very hardworking. He would stay until very late to finish little things. After he arrived we decided that we wanted to put iron rails in, and he subcontracted that for us. He then came back to score the cement to allow water to drain. We were having little lakes form underneath our cars after it rained, and he fixed that for us!

Promptly returned phone calls. Job was done quickly and with courtesy. Spoke broken English, but it wasn't a problem.

He was so sweet and went out of his way to do a good job. He bent over backwards to get the concrete color to match the old. The charge was very reasonable.

The entire process took one day and was great.

He did not speak enough English to be able to communicate. One of my apartment renters does speak fluent Spanish, so she interpreted for me. He told me it would cost approximately $2000.00, and that I would deduct the costs of materials from this estimate, then give him the balance of the estimate in cash after the work was complete. I asked him to at least put that in writing, and he said his price was too cheap to put it in writing. I found out after he left that he does not have a state license to do business in California. He believed the business license he bought from Los Angeles gave him the right to do business as a contractor in California.

Miguel and his crew were very polite and hardworking - usually working well into the night. The area was a strange shape, so it took some creative thinking, and Miguel always told me in advance if he needed to change the design a little.

The project was done quickly, professional and with an emphasis on getting the details correct.

It went well. They started the next day after we agreed on price and work to be done. We did have to wait a few days for the hauling away of the old concrete because his truck was in the shop. But over all, we are very pleased with the work. They were polite, courteous and very neat.

Miguel and his son Miquel Jr. came over on a Monday to give me an estimate. We agreed upon a price and he told me he'd call me the next day to set up the day. He called two days later and we agreed upon Friday morning. They showed up at 8 am that Friday morning with two additional workers to do the job. They were completely finished, cleaned up and gone by 4:30 that afternoon. I'm an uptight detail oriented kind of guy and their workmanship and attention to detail blew me away. Absolutely beautiful job. All of my neighbors around me came over to check out the finished product and were equally amazed. One neighbor has already called him to get an estimate. During the course of the job, Miguel would ask my opinion of how I'd like things handled whenever options arose. He and his guys were courteous and even helped us pick a good spot to make an imprint of our baby's feet while the cement was wet.

HE WORKED WITH HIS SON AND ANOTHER YOUNG HELPER. HE DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. HE WAS VERY HELPFUL. HE WOULD DO JUST ABOUT ANY JOB I NEED HIM TO. HE WAS VERY NICE.
