Very friendly good service

Firstly, When I called him, he asked if I needed to have some other job done as well, otherwise I cannot come for this job alone. I did not agree and I said no just only fix my cupboard, and gave him $ 100, so that he could get the parts. Later, I told him to have my backyard cleaned up, for which he demanded $ 400 and I agreed. But, I did ask him to make sure that, it is not just with a hose. I should not have paid him, I regret that, he was very unreliable.  They had sent another guy came with him, and it was quite a strong hose but that was not steam cleaning, for which he charged me almost $ 600.

My issue is with professionalism.  Mica did not identify himself when he answered the phone.  He just said hello and I had to ask if I was speaking with Mica.  I didn't hear any enthusiasm in his voice.  Whether a person works from an office or from their home, they should identify themselves in some way such as, Hi, this is Mica speaking.  That is the first impression someone gets is when the initial call is made.  Probably would not hire him.

He did everything quickly and was very thorough. He's very reliable and a good worker. While he was pressure washing the house he mentioned that if he had some clean rags he would be able to get a few areas even cleaner. I didn't have any at the time so he offered and went to the store to buy them for me which was very much appreciated. I would absolutely refer him to others to do work. I can't recommend him enough!

I don't often go out of my way to recommend people, but I will 'shout from the rooftop' to recommend Mica Fuentes for general construction and handywork. He used to work in hotel maintenance, and in that role he built up a very impressive and varied skill set. Here are some real positives I've found with him: He is very skilled, shows great attention to detail, and is knowledgeable enough on many aspects of construction to "strategize" with you about different ways of doing things. For instance, if you want to do things in a less expensive or a less thorough way, he'll explain the trade offs, but he's not averse to doing that kind of work. If you want to "go for it" on a high end job, he's comfortable in that mode too. If you change your mind, he's patient and doesn't get upset. He also takes direction very well and doesn't implement his own design ideas unless you ask. He returns your call promptly (a big deal to me!), speaks English fluently, and his rates are very reasonable. He charges $22.50 per hour (per person on a job), and he doesn't mark up material costs, and rather simply gives you the receipts to reimburse him. On bigger jobs, he brings in a crew that he oversees and works with, and on smaller jobs he does the work solo.
