Meridith Baer & Associates

I purchased a new home that was staged with Meridith Baer furniture, it looked great in pictures but up close you could tell it was cheap (think IKEA). I had them remove all the staging furniture and subsequently hired Meridith Baer to furnish my home under what they called a "Luxe Lease". This Luxe Lease was to consist of the highest quality furniture, fabrics, art, and accessories. The agreement I signed required that I take out an additional insurance policy for $250k to cover MB's contents. What they attempted to furnish my home with could not have cost more than $20k. Items were scratched, stained, dented, and of such inferior quality. They put slip covers over old pieces with scratched legs and stained cushions attempting to pass them off as new. Several new items they did go out and purchase were from Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and similar discount stores. I can't begin to tell you the aggravation I went through. When I told MB to exchange this, that or the other thing because it was unacceptable, I was told that I was being too demanding. I then was told that if tI wanted the job completed I would have to pay their "Private Design" fee. Needles to say, I had them remove everything. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO DO ANYTHING!!! I promise you will regret it if you do...
