Melrose Moving

Booked them directly but I need to share. I went into my move with high hopes when booking with Melrose Moving based in the reviews but I’m starting to think they are all fake. Let’s start from the beginning when I initially booked. The person I booked with was an interesting fellow. I got a call back and less than a minute on the phone with him, he tells me he needs to hang up and call me back on a different phone number. It was odd but I ignored it. In hindsight, I probably should have seen this as a red flag and booked elsewhere. Regretfully I paid the deposit. Leading up to my appointment, I received no follow up confirmation two days before my move like the confirmation email stated. So I decided to follow up. It was only then did I start getting the confirmation that I was all set for my move on 12/14. I was told the crew would arrive between 8am-10am. The morning of my move no one arrived. No one called to follow up with me or provide an update. I called in at 10am asking for an update. It was only then did they tell me there was an issue with the truck. Why did I have to chase down this information? They told me the crew would now arrive at 11am. No one showed up. I called back in around 11:50am asking for an update because at this point I was so behind schedule. The person I spoke to had no clue what was going on. Luckily the crew ended up arriving at 10mins later. Due to this delay I missed the reservation I had booked for the loading dock at my new apartment and I missed my internet installation. I then had to wait a whole week to get it installed. This may not seem like a big deal but for someone who works from home, it was. The lack of communication and professionalism is why I will never use this service again. Moving is already so stressful and I hired movers to help the process go smoother. This ended up being nothing but a headache. TRUST MEEEE, spend a little more and book elsewhere.

Just moved with Melrose Movers today. Eric Oh and crew were as professional as they come. They work hard all day and took care to make sure that al of my stuff was handle with care. I would without hesitation recommend Melrose Movers. From start to finish this company was timely and professional.

I needed movers because I am on the third floor and my couches and piano
wouldn't fit in the small elevator. A colleague recommended Melrose
Moving and I hired them. They hoisted my couches with ropes from the
third floor. They also took the legs off my piano and then put them back
on. The move went pretty quickly, and I was satisfied with the
services.

Melrose Moving exceeded my expectations! From the beginning of speaking with Renata (I believe that was her name) to the detailed email of the costs to their arrival, I felt pretty secure that we had chosen the right company to move us. We were given a widow of 7-9 for their arrival - they arrived at 8 and started right into moving out our washer and dryer (not an easy task). They arrived with 4 men who never slowed down. The only drawback was that 3 of them barely spoke english - so a few minor misunderstandings of what was to be moved came up, but not a big deal.
On the way to our new place they did stop for lunch (understandably) but deducted that time from our total. I have yet to find one thing broken or missing. Everything that could go right with them did! I highly recommend them.
