Roofing
Pedro Rojel, an unlicensed worker using Manolis Roofing's license number, put a new roof on my home. There were a couple problems that Pedro came to fix. Then there were several leaks within a few months. This time, Pedro came and said he would fix the problems. However, he was a no-show three straight days. Manolo Israel Ramirez, sole proprietor of Manolis Roofing called me directly, pretending to be concerned that someone used his license without permission. I learned later through someone who knows both parties from the construction business that Ramirez and Rojel and are related, possibly through marriage.
Now my wife and I are stuck with a leaky roof and are having to try to recover our costs ($11,300) through the court system. Furthermore, we are unable to have a new roof put on because Manolis and Rojel never pulled permits from the city.
The Contractors State License Board has informed me they will be opening a case against Rojel and Ramirez.
