Pedro Rojel, an unlicensed worker using Manolis Roofing's license number, put a new roof on my home. There were a couple problems that Pedro came to fix. Then there were several leaks within a few months. This time, Pedro came and said he would fix the problems. However, he was a no-show three straight days. Manolo Israel Ramirez, sole proprietor of Manolis Roofing called me directly, pretending to be concerned that someone used his license without permission. I learned later through someone who knows both parties from the construction business that Ramirez and Rojel and are related, possibly through marriage. Now my wife and I are stuck with a leaky roof and are having to try to recover our costs ($11,300) through the court system. Furthermore, we are unable to have a new roof put on because Manolis and Rojel never pulled permits from the city. The Contractors State License Board has informed me they will be opening a case against Rojel and Ramirez.
Description of Work: Manolis put a new roof on my home. After less than a year, the roof leaked in three places. Manolis refused to fix the problem and we are going to small claims court against him and the person who used his CA state license, Pedro Rojel. After numerous tries, the process server has been unable to locate Manolo Ramirez.
