House Cleaning
Luis' team arrived on time and worked like dogs. They replaced each item that was moved such that you'd hardly know they'd been there. They helped me gather laundry to prepare for the laundry service to pick up. Luis was personable and professional.
Things that I wish were different about this job:
1. The price. Granted it was not a regular housecleaning or deep cleaning, it was more of a pain than that, but the estimate was for more than $600, which seemed steep to me but I felt like I was in a bind and he was highly recommended on Neighbor2Neighbor as well as Yelp. He estimated the windows at $180 in addition (we have 17 windows with 31 lights plus 13 of those windows have really detailed lights), which I wish we could have done, but it was just too much with the original cleaning bill.
I hope that others on this list can comment on price after their renovations cleanups to see if my expectations are out of whack.
2. A lot of the wiping down was done with dry rags and should have been done with a damp rag or vacuum to keep dust at bay. A few days after they left some of the dust resettled. I'm sensitive about this because of allergies and the particular situation....but to be fair I did not specifically request this with Luis and probably should have.
3. I don't think they cleaned the ceiling fan blades. Weeks later when we turned the fan on, dust rained down on our bed, where the baby sleeps. Gross.
4. I think since I'd asked him not to do windows, they also didn't clean the glass cabinet doors in the kitchen. Weird. ?
5. The mopping seemed to be sort of a quick once-over.
Things that were great about this job:
1. There is no way I could have cleaned the whole house myself with a toddler around, they had four people and were finished by 1pm.
2. They were willing to remove all of the dusty stuff from the pantry and wipe it down and put it back. I said nevermind since I was worried about additional expense, and then it took me like two hours to do.
3. The dining room chandelier was disgusting, it was so filled with dust and his crew cleaned it to better than we'd ever seen it.
4. Luis did do a walkthrough with me at the end and gave me the opportunity to request "fixes" or whatever. I'm just a person that needed a little more time to think about it, so I don't know that I took advantage of this the best I could have.
Basically, they did a pretty good job for cleaning up a heck of a renovation mess, but I thought the pricing was a little steep. Then again, I've never priced a job like that and it would have taken me -- no kidding -- WEEKS to get it to the point they got it to, by myself. I would have been lost without Luis and his team.

Pool and Spa Servicing
He is pretty good. He was referred by my daughter to me. I had three or four other people before him. He adds salt to my salt water generator, cleans the diatomaceous earth filter and fixes my shark pool cleaner. If I need him to come out on a different day, he will arrange to do that. If I am going to have a special party or something, he will make sure that he gets out here right before so the pool is all clean. He tries to do any type of treatment where the kids cannot go swimming at times when they won?t be here. As soon as filter cleaning or any such thing needs to be done, he will do it; I don?t have to tell him what is wrong. There was one time when I had a warning reading on my filter and pump systems; I called and left a message, and he was here the same afternoon. He is real good about such things. His pricing was comparable to the other companies, and probably a little better. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.
