This was a strange situation. They did a good job overall, but I did not like the fact that the contractor did not have his license yet. He kept telling me that it was on its way. The original bid was done by his father-in-law, a guy who had been in the cement business for many years. This guy had decided to retire and was turning his business over to his son-in-law. The older man came out and kept them in order, though. The type of work that I needed done was very specialized and I had called several other companies that could not do the work. I had figured on spending about $10000 on the job, so the price was definitely lower than what I was expecting. I am not sure if it was worth it though because of the fact that he did not have a license. I wasn't sure if he had insurance or workmen compensation. I would use the contractor again as long as he had his license.
