concrete repair
+ -1 moreThis was a strange situation. They did a good job overall, but I did not like the fact that the contractor did not have his license yet. He kept telling me that it was on its way. The original bid was done by his father-in-law, a guy who had been in the cement business for many years. This guy had decided to retire and was turning his business over to his son-in-law. The older man came out and kept them in order, though. The type of work that I needed done was very specialized and I had called several other companies that could not do the work. I had figured on spending about $10000 on the job, so the price was definitely lower than what I was expecting. I am not sure if it was worth it though because of the fact that he did not have a license. I wasn't sure if he had insurance or workmen compensation. I would use the contractor again as long as he had his license.
Description of Work: I have 72, 2 by 3 oblong steps that lead up to my house. 48 of those steps are independent tabs. One of them was broken and about 20 of them had the nose of the concrete broken down. They replaced the one that was broken and reinforced the other ones with proxy to strengthen the noses and then they reformed them. I had a little bit of trouble getting the work done. They took three days longer than they said it would take and I felt like they tried to cut some corners. I was watching and when I pointed things out they denied it.
