The job went great.  I'd would hire these guys again no problem.  The boss, Nir, is a real pro.

We had a pretty big renovation planned with the complete remodeling of two bathrooms and a kitchen, new hardwood flooring throughout, new double pane windows, additional sliding glass door and opening, just to name the highlights.  To make sure the job would be done right I reached out to a friend for a contractor reference.  My friend who is generally very precise and particular had his home recently renovated, so I expected a reliable reference.  After getting a tour of his nice newly done home, we decided to go with his contractor, Los Angeles Construction Inc.  To get to the point, we are extremely pleased with the process (a five month effort) and the end results.  Now no job of this size gets done without some challenges and surprises, and ours was no exception.  Los Angeles Construction was able to meet those challenges/surprises using their experience, perseverance, and professionalism.  For example, an opening in an exterior wall had to be created for the new sliding glass door, but because of its location the entire side of the home had to be reinforced with shear wall for safety and to meet building code.  The conventional solution of adding shear wall on the exterior side and the re-stucco work was far beyond our budget.  Edan, who was our project manager from Los Angeles Construction, sensed our disappointment and was determined to find a more cost effective solution.  He consulted with his business partner, Nir, and they found that a technology called Hardy Frame could be used instead of the conventional approach.  Hardy Frame is a thick steel structural frame that provides shear wall protection but is strategically placed (you don't need relatively much), installed from the interior, and is nearly half the cost of the conventional approach.  Through Los Angeles Construction's perseverance and "can do" attitude, we got exactly what we wanted and for a cost we could afford.  This is only one example of the quality of work this contractor provided, there were many other instances where their team of painters, carpenters, electricians, etc. took the time to provide feedback on clever design ideas that made the end results even more special.  I highly recommend Los Angeles Construction Inc. for home remodeling, new construction, or any home improvement project.  

I had a fantastic experience working with Nir, Edan and the Los Angeles Construction crew.  They did a terrific job of remodeling my kitchen - taking it from a dated-looking 1960s-style kitchen to a beautiful modern kitchen that I'm really proud of.  Their crew is talented and patient, and they consistently went above and beyond to keep me informed on their progress -- and they always responded quickly to any questions or concerns that I had.  They also helped me with a few projects that weren't even their responsibility. They did all work on time and within the budget that we established.
I will be remodeling my bathrooms in the next few months, and without question I will hire Los Angeles Construction to do the work. They are really a pleasure to work with!

Los Angeles Construction built our new addition on a narrow and difficult upslope lot. They reframed portions of the existing house and made sure that everything was ready for finish work. They were straight shooters and stuck to their quote. We will use them again for phase two.

Neil and Ed were very helpful in renovating my kitchen and building a new deck. They checked in on the job everyday to make sure it was done right. They were very honest, and I am very satisfied with their work, and I would highly recommend them. I also recommended them to my daughter.

Last year we had hired LA Construction to remodel our master bathroom. We were so pleased with the results that we hired them again this year to remodel our kitchen and guest bathroom. We came up with a design to completely change the kitchen. It involved moving a doorway, relocating the cook-top (and hood), new lighting, flooring, cabinets and more. Needless to say, they were very detailed and methodical in their work sending who ever was needed to move the project along. Even when there were issues with materials (eg the tile purchased was not what was delivered, bathroom countertop had lines), they still worked on whatever they could while they were waiting. There work was first rate, but even when there was a mistake (the doorway was 4" off), they took full responsibility and rectified the problem immediately. This is the real test of any contractor is how they handle issues during a project and with this they exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend LA Construction.

Overall, we were pleased with the quality of their work.

This is a one-bathroom house, so obviously a real inconvenience to be without a bathroom. However the contractor made every effort do the job quickly, working on weekends, etc., without cutting any corners. Overall conscientious, efficient, helpful and pleasant to deal with, and excellent work.

Our deck was more than 30 years old, built by a previous owner, and not to code. We had repaired it a couple of times, but the termites finally won. Los Angeles Construction did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable for the work that was contracted. Neal's team was exemplary - first rate carpenters. The work was completed in the 10 days promised, and it would have been even less time except for two days of rain. We are very happy with he results. We absolutely would use this company again, and recommend it to others.
